MyEncore for Encore Pro 1.5 Beta available for testing

Post by derek » Fri Nov 11, 2005 3:28 pm

For the foolhardy amongst us I have made the hot-off-the-press Beta of MyEncore for Encore Pro Ver 1.5 available:

MyEncore Beta for EncorePro Ver. 1.5 Beta 2
(Sunday Nov. 13: This link now downloads the latest version: Beta 2 - see below.)

Note that this version will NOT work with any of the Encore Pro Ver. 1.4.xx versions.

I have not dealt with modifying the daily plots for the Auto BiLevel yet. I'll start on that this weekend (it's a big job). Nevertheless it should give some useful data for the new machines.

I'm particularly interested in start-up problems in dealing with the SQL password situation.

For the software geeks among us, here is what I do:
1) I try to access the database using the SQL Server Integrated Security, which is based on your Windows login and password. That should work regardless of the SA account in SQL for Windows XP and 2000 users. Notice I said "should"
2) If that fails, I try to log on to the SQL Server using the SA account with a blank password, which is the way it was done in the MyEncore for Ver. 1.4.
3) If that fails I ask you to enter a password - in which case it must match the one that you gave when you installed Encore Pro. The password is saved (but I have not yet encrypted it).
4) If that fails, your computer blows up with a small mushroom shaped cloud.

At least, that's the theory

To install, simply uninstall your old version and double click on the .msi file.

Please let me know of any problems... (or successes)

Good luck,
Derek

WOW! I might try it just to see that! ...Kind of a Veteran's day minature re-inactment of Hiroshima... of course with a less distructive result.

Hi Derek,

I tried v 1.5 with the smart card from my Bipap Pro 2 and it works well. I also tried the data from my bipap auto and it listed my top pressure as 17cm instead of the 20cm it is set to. Other than that, it is working very well.

Thank you for making this available to us. Not everyday someone does something for free and keeps it updated.

Ted

Ted,
I found that error earlier tonight I think I've fixed it for the next beta version... I've also got most of the Auto BiLevel working.

I loaded it tonight on mine, it appears to be ok. Haven't had a chance to really check it out.

I have just uploaded a new Beta copy that includes daily pressure plots for the new Auto Bi-Level machines. It's a bit of a messy graph because there are 8 lines on it :
1) Max IPAP setting
2) Max IPAP daily pressure
3) 90% IPAP daily pressure
4) Avg. IPAP daily pressure
5) Min EPAP machine setting
6) Max EPAP daily pressure
7) 90% EPAP daily pressure
8- Avg. EPAP daily pressure

Download it here:

MyEncore Beta for EncorePro Ver. 1.5 Beta 2

Uninstall any previous version and double-click on the .msi file.

Note: I have edited the link in my original post to download the new Beta 2.

Hi Derek,

Thanks for taking your weekend to update the program. I have my Auto bipap set to 20cm IPAP 13cm EPAP and 6cm MaxPS.

Here is what the Summary Report says from MyEncore 1.5. Can you explain?

"Treatment mode: Auto Bi-Level with Bi-Flex 15.0 and 13.0 cm. H2O"

Is this the 90% average of my night?

Thanks,

Ted

Ted,
That's a big whoops! , a hangover from the APAP report. I'll fix it this evening. I'll put the IPAP settings there... (if I can). Ignore my PM.

Derek, was wondering if encore version 1.5 is a downloadable upgrade, or the new software version

Unfortunately, it seems that the trusty but ancient web-server that sits in the corner of my office has croaked after 10 years of trouble free service.

It may take a day or so to pirate the parts to fix it or to configure a new machine.

In the meantime - the MyEncore 1.5 Beta and the other xpap related stuff stored there cannot be downloaded...

I'll let you know when it's up and running again...

Frostman,
Are you talking about Encore Pro Ver. 1.5 or the MyEncore that is in test right now?

EncorePro 1.5 is a downloadable upgrade from Respironics. It installs over your old Ver. 1.4, and upgrades the database to the new format. Be aware that it is a one-way journey, because you cannot change the database back to the 1.4.xx format.

I therefore recommend doing an "Export Patient" in 1.4.xx before upgrading so that you can reload 1.4.xx and import back if all else fails.

MyEncore for 1.5 is a new install. You uninstall the old version and reinstall the new. (when the web-server is up and running again )

croaking webserver

Post by ozij » Mon Nov 14, 2005 10:58 am

...and there I was wondering why the NEJM article disappeared. Glad to know it's only a croaking sever, and not anything else...
