Pillow position on Mirage Swift LT ???

Post by Shilohcane » Mon Jun 23, 2008 5:26 pm

Ok. I took it all apart to clean it good when I first got it since the last ResMed Ultra Mirage II mask had some coating that gave me a skin rash. I thought I put it back together right with the Pillow that snaps in.

On one side of every Pillow is the "ResMed" logo that is raised letters. On the other side of each Pillow is the curve (quarter moon) in the Pillow's shape.

When I put the ResMed Logo facing up against my Nose it has less leaks but the ResMed Logo has worn two holes in the tip of my nose where it touches.

So I decided the Logo should go down and the curve side should fit under my nose. That feels better and is much softer with no raised letters but I get more leaks.

Before I do something stupid like sand off those letters from the Pillow I wanted to check how the pillow should go. The ResMed LT guide on page 2 shows the picture of the Logo on the side that touches your nose. Bad place for rough letters to rub on your skin.

Check the diagram on page 7, picture 3 of the manual. You can se that the side with the lResmed lettering on the outside, away from your nose just over the inlet tube.

From what youa re describing you have the pillow reversed.

Hope that helps!~

Thanks time to sand off some ResMed logo letters.

Used a wetstone for sharping a knife and it is real smooth now. I like it. What a bad place for a logo under your nose. Had 0.00 leaks last night which is only the second time that has happen in ten days.
