exporting encore data

Post by seamaiden » Fri May 27, 2005 4:24 pm

I would like to send my patient record of downloads to my sleep doc. Initially hitting export saved the file to a word processing program, but that's clearly not right. Where should I be saving this to? Reading help doesn't make it any clearer to me.

Can I not just email a file containing all my downloads to my doc? Might someone kindly explain how to do this? Thank you!

I don't quite understand what it is you are trying to export.
You could save the download data (charts as a pdf file) and send those.

There is no way of sending the data except 1) mailing the SmartCard, or 2) making a copy of the entire database and have your doc install that as his database. It can be done but it is not easy - and it is a huge file!

1) Open your Encore Pro data for ordinary viewing
2) click "file"
3) then click "email report"

That will allow you to send a PDF (Adobe formatted) report to your doctor via email.

Thank you so much!

Upcoming appointment, and I've been erasing the smart card after download... wanted to email her the info rather than print out copies of the reports. Guest, your instructions were a very simple way to convert the files to pdf as Derek suggested and send. Was trying to figure out how to convert (I've only ever used the free reader), when saw your answer which was a simple solution for non-techie me. Already tested by emailing to myself, and it was a breeze! (says this swift user).

THANK YOU! What an outstanding resource this forum has been! Heartfelt thanks!

ps: Derek, I'm one of the many who is anxiously awaiting the public release of your program. It was your user review/manual that gave me the confidence to buy and use the encore software in the first place.

And then maybe, as most dr's are, he won't care to see them at all. I print mine out and take them with me. Less hassle for the Dr., otherwise he isn't going to take the time to see them, when I have them in hand, he has no choice. Jim
