I'm still new to this CPAP thing.
The last 2 nights I've noticed something during the night. Several times I've woken up and there was no air blowing into the mask. As I breathe, I hear the valve in the mask click and the machine kick on and air start blowing again.
Should my machine be doing this? It's a REMstarPlus M Series with C-flex and humidifier.
Is there something wrong with my machine?

In the Setup/Configuration options, there's an option called "Auto Off". This will shut the machine off if you were to take your mask off.......BUT, a large leak will also shut it off. It's undoubtedly set to "On".
MY recommendation is to set that option to "OFF". That way, they air will keep blowing if you have a large leak.

Thanks.
I'll check that setting.
It was set to On. I changed it to Off as you suggested.

Great advice from Den.
Pocket, I was going to suggest that you might want to invest in the Encore Viewer software to monitor your treatment for yourself...especially to be able to look at the leak graph in "Daily Details."
But, I noticed you have a Plus machine. Unfortunately the software wouldn't do you any good with that machine as the machine can't record full details. Only hour of use.
If there's any way you can go back to the DME who gave you that machine and get them to swap it for the M series Pro cpap, the M series Pro would give you information about how your treatment is going. If the DME stubs up and won't make the swap, I'd then go to the doctor and ask him to rewrite your prescription, specifying the Respironics REMstar Pro M series CPAP. Wave that under the DME's nose. If they still balk, look for a new DME as fast as you can...one who will give you the Pro machine. But the more time that passes (and the more insurance reimbursement payments made to your current DME for the Plus) the less likely a new DME would want to take you on.
Of course, check with your insurance before flouncing into the present DME's office with "Here's your machine, bye bye" on your mind, to be sure your insurance will work with another DME.
Leaks can wreck cpap treatment. You really need a machine that will give you info about that, imho.

Thanks for the tips.
I changed that setting as suggested.
Last night I actually got 8 hours straight sleep with my mask on. It's the first time!
Can't help but wonder if the machine was shutting off without me realizing it so I wasn't getting the treatment I should.
