Minor Opus 360 Lab Ratting

Post by momadams » Mon Dec 24, 2007 8:09 am

I was due for a new mask, insurance-wise, so decided to give the Opus 360 a try.

Seemed eminently tweakable when I tried it in the DME office, so I brought it home.

I knew from past experience that I'd need to make a fleece cover for the supply tube - it's COLD at night.

About an hour after putting it on it started to whistle on the exhale because of moisture in the exhaust holes. Argh.

Yesterday morning, I lab ratted a fleece cosy for the barrel, held in place with binder clips at the corners. While I was at it, I made some covers for the side straps - (how DID they manage to make the padding have sharp edges!!!).

Went to sleep in fleecy heaven last night - worked like a charm.
Karen- Thanks for the inspiration!

Shari

The cover is a rectangle of fleece with holes cut for the nasal pillows. Sides are tucked in and held by frame of mask. The rest is wrapped around the unit and temporarily clipped together at the corners.
Exhaust ports are left uncovered.[/img]
