Aura XL
For all of us who have tried the Aura and wish there was an X-Large size, would it be worth doing a call/e-mail blitz to AeioMed inviting them to make an X-Large interface AND, to make it free of charge to all those who supported AeioMed by purchasing the first release of Aura?

As a consumer group of exorbitantly expensive products, we can, and should, have a strong voice. If many of us really like the Aura, lets send a strong, cohesive message to AeioMed telling them why we like Aura, and what would help us to like it better. It would not hurt to also remind them that our liking Aura translates into sales for AeioMed AND, that we talk, not only amongst ourselves, but to other XPAP equipment users.

They are aware of the need and they have the xlarge seal in development. This seal is unlike any other style so each size requires testing to ensure proper airflow and co2 washout. Lets not pressure them into rushing it to market. Making a mistake in the design is a bigger problem than not having it. I think we want to see all new companies with great innovations such as they come up with succeed, so lets try to be patient and let them do it right.

Howdy,
AEIOmed has been very, VERY interested in patient feedback. Most likely, you don't have to call - because they'll read your post. As I understand it, they've gotten this message loud and clear and will be releasing a correction ASAP.
We will be meeting with their leadership during Medtrade Spring and will carry this message to them, just to be sure.

Had I been aware of this little pearl, I would not have posted my comment about contacting AeioMed. I guess I must have missed a posting in some other thread advising us that the XL is in development. They are aware of the need and they have the xlarge seal in development
I'll be interested, Johnny, in hearing what they have to say to you at MedTrade

Mike,
I agree, Aeiomed seems to be going above and beyond to be reponsive to their customers. Let's trust that they are doing all they can to resolve any issues with regard to their products.
Johnny,
Thanks for the feedback on wht Aeiomed is doing in this regard. It is great to hear that they are monitoring the forum for input on their products.

The first night my Aura leaked badly. I finally gave up and took it off and slept the rest of the night (not much of the night left, unfortunately) with my Breeze.
Last night I adjusted the wires of the nasal part to conform better to my nose and slept great last night!! Yeah!! I'll be glad to hear the good news that Aeiomed has the Xlarge seal available, too. I think then they'll have the best and most comfortable nasal interface on the market for now at least.

I don't know if it was beginners luck or reading the posts here, but last night was my first with the Aura. I played around adjusting it and really had a good nights sleep. Had no isssues with the head straps either. I find that i am like many of you - - just waiting for the XL's to come out. This is one comfortable interface or is that overface?

As of April 2006, the Aura / Everest Headrest still does not come with an XL pillow option. If you get it and the large will not work contact Aeiomed directly at the number above and give them a chance to rectify your problem. It has been my experience with them that if given the oppurtunity they will make things right.
Also, cpapsuperstore no longer has the return on the mask. Aeiomed had no choice but to discontinue it. This was due to different suppliers stating to Aeiomed that Resmed had forced their hand and if they did not stop accepting returns then Resmed would pull their line from them. This is what I was told, I am not reporting it as fact, but it is a fact that you can no longer return your Aura / Everest Headrest to cpapsuperstore. Just thought I would share my recent experiences.

With all due respect to all, I am just suggesting that you contact them and give them a chance to rectify it. I have an XL now, and I didn't order it from CPAP.com for $.PhilinOK wrote:As of April 2006, the Aura / Everest Headrest still does not come with an XL pillow option.
