report on Hy-U Fullface first night

Post by bluegrassfan » Wed May 09, 2007 5:11 am

I may have blown $200..a little time will tell. I should have read the review on this mask at the top of the page. I also have an overbite but my chin is average and my nose is fairly broad.

I could not eliminate the leaks...leaks with this mask are easy to hear because of the rushing air. My cpap machine alarmed all night, periodically. Of course this is just the first night, however during the night I must have been in REM at some time, because I dreamed someone was covering me up or doing something bad to me, because I ripped that little gal clean off my head and it's fitted with two straps on each side and a strap over the top of the head...that is five straps. I had it strapped down firmly too...left the right side of my face bloody where something dug in, probably one of those plastic buckles. Anyway I found the mask out in the room with mr snuggle hose still attached.

I bet I was sleeping pretty deeply (rem) and didn't hear the alarm, had a big leak, had an apnea, not breathing, and hit the panic button ripping that sucker off my face before I knew what was going on.

Today I plan to spend the evening with the mask on trying different adjustments and/or inserts. I'll report later on...bob

Wow! ... never heard of such a violent CPAP experience before. Careful not to poke yur eye out tonight.

President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.

Give it some time and try some adjustments. I have found it to be my best mask despite the high leak rate, which is engineered into it to get rid of excess carbon dioxide, from my understanding. You might wish to try foam ear plugs as well if the sound of the air bothers you too much. Give it some time.

In case you haven't found this yet, here are Roosters instructions for fitting the hybrid;

It takes a while to get through all the options of pillows and cushions, but if you get working for you, it's well worth it!

Dream, that is the worst one I've had in a long time. It must have been all instinct when I stopped breathing and something was on my face. I went home today at lunch and checked the mask, both nasal pillows were pulled out of the hole right at one corner...not all the way, but enough for a good leak. Don't know whether I didn't insert them correctly or that violent jerk did it...probably the former. Pastor and BDP I do plan to use this thing, in fact at lunch I kept it on for about 10 mins with only a leak when I let my head drop down. I'm going to check out the Rooster instructions and go back at it tonight. The thing feels good when everything is right.
