I've never heard of a study on sleep disorders being caused by a full moon. But I've seen some Full Moons, that the image of, might cause you to loose sleep. Jim
Actually Sleep disorders can cause most health disorders due to the poor way our bodies are left in from lack of nightly repair.

Thanks for your post. It is amazing how much about OSA that the sleep docs don't tell us so I admire you for educating yourself. I am a life long learner and a strong self advocate when it comes to my body and health. I have slightly elevated blood pressure and I am pretty sure it was from several years of poorly managed apnea. I work in home health and always ask pts about how they are sleeping and if they snore or are having problems I talk about apnea. I have frequently found pts who stopped using their cpap because the didn't like the mask and didn't know they could go back and ask for another one. Or they didn't think cpap was helping and just stopped using it without rescheduling to address the problems. These are mostly seniors who always think the doctor nows everything and they don't ask questions. It is a shame At that point I encourage them to follow up and explain how untreated apnea can eventually kill you through stroke or heart attack. Most say no one explained how serious it is. Those outcomes really motivate me to stay compliant with treatment.
