This isn't so much a modification as an enhancement. Anwyay, my Soyala FF was hurting my forehead. Most mornings I wake up with a divot that takes hours to go away. One night it scratched my forehead pretty bad. Anyway, here's what I did to alleviate the issue:
If you've ever seen a commercial for a memory foam mattress, they always offer to send a sample of their material for free. That got me thinking, what if I covered the forehead support with a piece of memory foam? I went on tempurpedic's website and ordered a free sample. Came with a DVD as well, but I didn't need that. Anyway, the piece they sent was a bout 3"x3". I cut it so it would fit over the forehead cushion. I placed it on my head, put the mask in place, and tightened. This morning, no divot! A little bit of red on my head from where the mask was, but that went away in minutes. I'd say the memory foam experiment was a success. Anyway, I wanted to secure the foam to the mask which required another step. I took 2 zip ties and ran them through the middle of the foam. Wrapped them around the support and tightened. Now it's permanently there. The 3"x3" piece of foam should last a long time. I'll get at least 3-4 cushions out of it. Anyway, just thought you'd all like to know. I'm sure this method would work for other masks as well.

I'm the Dish. So that's what you call me. You know, that or, uh, His Dishness, or uh, Disher, or El Disherino if you're not into the whole brevity thing.
I have never had any problem with the forehead. I suppose it all depends on how sloping ones forehead is. I have had problems with the the bridge of the nose but I have found a waterproof bandaid pretty much takes care of that problem. All that being said..I have found the UMFF is more comfortable. Now I have two options for a full face mask.

I also had the long lasting red mark, but fixed it by adding a piece of fleece to the forehead pad. Now I rarely have any mark, and if I do it is gone quite quickly in the morning. I am still fighting the bridge of my nose. Actually, it has given me lots of opportunities to talk about cpap at work again. Even talked to one outside contractor who never heard of OSA, but after I explained why my nose looked so bad, he decided he was going to be tested. So its not all bad
