I keep reading about software. I just got my Resmed S8 this week. I was using a loaner until this week. Was I supposed to get software? The only thing my pulmonoligist asst told me was that I needed to do follow up visits every three months and they could "read" my machine. Should I call someone about this because from the posts i have read it sounds like it is important to check on a regular basis.
software?

No, you are not supposed to get software with your S8. You have to buy that separately. You will also need a card reader. I think you may have trouble purchasing these in the US due to a policy change by Resmed. If that's the case you can get them from Australia. Remember the price is in Aussie dollars.

In the meantime you can access data from your LCD screen by holding down the right and down arrow buttons on top of the machine for three seconds. Select results and you can scroll through to see what they were for the previous night. You need to do this by noon or the data will be lost.

The Autoscan software is easy to use, and presents the data in a graphical format to correlate realtime sleeping events with your data.
Good luck,
You're in the right place to get help.
