that is a good sign, it means the machine is preventing the arousals/events that prevented you from reaching REM before therapy.

Some people never make it to REM as so many PSG studies show, they don't realize they may not have had a dream in over a year.

I was so upset when I had my first dream on c-pap and no one I told was impressed!

I am happy for you and I hope for many more for you!

As a side note You gotta take the good with the bad. I had my first nightmare a few nights ago.

I'm starting to dream some also. It's been a long time since I remember dreaming. Believe me, I can relate to how excited you must be. Congratulations.

Congrats! Couple of nights ago I had my first nightmare in awhile. I dreamed I was being charged by a giant wolf that was making this hideous roaring sound. I awoke to find it sounded exactly like my CPAP! Now how am I supposed to sleep? Paging Freddy Kruger!

I have been on CPAP for about 90 days. I think I have been dreaming for about half that time. I am such an idiot. The other night I dreamed someone rang our door bell. I woke up to answer the door and realized it was only in the dream.

I've never had such clear dreams as with the mask I use now. for some reason, this mask set up has me dreaming all night, it seems. I just feel better all the way around. I think it's the fact that I can relax and mouth breath at some point during the night.
Anyone else use a Hybrid mask have a simular experience?

I am 62 years old and didn't realize I had apena till a year ago. I have been on my machine now for about nine months and has changed my life. All these years people were always talking about their dreams and it never hit me why I never dreamed. NOW== talking about Dreams!!! I dream ever nite and what is unbelivable that 75% of the time it is in COLOR; I mean vivid, vivid color. I have had colored nightmares so vivid that I have woken up it cold sweats. I LOVE DREAMING GOOD OR BAD DREAMS.

I've been on cpap since March of '05. I have had one dream that I remember in all of that time. But I was really proud of that. It had been many, many years since I had had a dream. BTW, I had no REM sleep during my two sleep studies. And I do not feel a whole lot better yet. I do not wake with the terrible headache EVERY a.m. of my life now. Nor do I hit the walls when first getting up. (I could not stand or walk straight pre-cpap.) But I still feel lousy. Have told the md and he just keeps changing things. So I am still hoping for dreams.

Sweet dreams to you all!!
