A BOLD idea!!!! CONTEST!!!!!
A BOLD idea!!!! CONTEST!!!!!
Ya know, we all need to learn to have more fun with this wacky adventure that we're all having together!!!!
In another thread recently appearing here, a user asked about how to overcome his/her embarassment at having his/her mate see him/her masked-up despite the fact the s/he is ALSO a hose-head! I suggested making it into a "couples thing" for that lucky couple, and choosing masks that "excite" them both, if ya catch my drift!!!
My dear friend Karen suggested that adding leopard spots or lace to decorate an otherwise UGLY mask is simply a matter of adding some fabric and some clever stitching or glue.
So, here's what I propose:
LET'S HAVE US A CONTEST!!!!!!!!!
In time for April Fool's Day ( or perhaps, Mardi Gras in solidarity with our Louisianin brothers and sisters), lets DECORATE our masks and display them for all to see!! We could post pix here on the board, and use the "polling" feature to cast votes.
We could have categories like:
FUNNIEST
PRETTIEST
SEXIEST
KINKY-EST
MOST LIFE-LIKE
BEST CELEBRITY LOOK-A-LIKE
MOST CREATIVE; and finally
BEST MASK OVERALL!!!
Perhaps our sponsor would want to participate and award the mask of the winner's choosing as a prize. If not, I'll shoulder the burden.
One requirement: THE MASK MUST BE FULLY FUNCTIONAL!!! No changes of its specifications that might compromise efficacy is permitted.
So, what do you WACKY HOSE-HEADS think???
Time to get over ourselves and start having some FUN (and sex, if appropriate) with this crazy stuff!!!
Cheers!!!
Chuck

Depending on the interest, we could have a quarter-final elimination round on New Years, semis on Mardi Grad, and the GRAND FINALE on April Fools.

Sounds like FUN!!
Interesting choice of holidays as the benchmarks, too. Will we have a poll for determining the winners?
Rested Gal should be able to give a few tips on how to organize--different categories sound like different breeds in a dog show. Besides, Laura could keep the history and award trophies for best of mask.
Then, of course, there are a lot of other details, as in photo requirements, etc.
Sorry, just my teacher brain starting to organize. Let's do it!

Be kinder than necessary; everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

Photos
Its easy!!!
Take a digital photo, load it onto your computer, and then upload it to a "photo hosting" service on the web. http://www.photobucket.com is VERY popular, easy to use and FREE!!
When you upload a photo to Photobucket, it'll generate some code that it lists in a line under the picture, and which is called a "tag." You highlight that line and copy it to your clip-board using "copy" in your Edit menu.
Then, when you want to upload a photo to cpaptalk.com, you click on the "Img" button at the top of the text page for a post (to the right of "Message body") then click "Paste" in your edit menu, and that tag line will be pasted right there. You then click the "Img" button again.
You're free to add any text that you want before or after you paste the image code in using the "Img" button.
Simple as pie!!!
Cheers!

Mask Contest
Ok, I'm in. Will some rules be posted as this progresses? Will we have a digital category separate from hand-crafted? Are we limited to one per category, one per contest, or unlimited? My imagination is already running wild.
