Help with My Encore data and Encore Pro

Post by snoregirl » Mon Oct 02, 2006 11:07 am

I finally installed the Encore Pro and My Encore programs. Went surprisingly well after things I had read about difficulty installing. Took 10 minutes.

NOW

I was looking at my leak data. I searched past topics and saw something that makes me wonder about my leak data

My Encore says my Swift is leaking on the average of 40L/Min (unless I am reading the chart wrongly). Anyone know what the leak rate for the swift should be?

Is this high? Does the fiddling around at the beginnning of the night count in that average? I tend to pull it off and on getting comfortable and lose a lot of air then. Sometimes also in the morning or if I have an occasional issue in the middle of the night.

Is there any way to see the leak rates by hour to see what is going on while I am just asleep? I haven't found it yet.

Other numbers are 10 -15 (machine setting on my Remstar Auto - titrated 13)
90% pressure runs 11.2 - 12.2 for the week I saw data. I don't know how to combine days of data so I looked at each day individually and that was the range

AHI Ave .6 to 2.0

Anyone have comments. Good or bad, and any suggestions on how to combine weekly averages? It just didn't seem obvious to me.

On the other hand, my encore is great compared to what I saw in Encore Pro. Frankly I couldn't see how to get anything but compliance data (version 1.6.22) from Encore Pro. I read a whole bunch of the help screens and still can't find much to analyze. I then clicked on My Encore and all the data popped up nicely by day.

Thanks Derek!!

Any comments are very welcome.

Thanks all.

In Encore Pro, after you select (double-click) on the (date) line of your download, there will be another window that comes up. On the left side there are two little "radio" buttons.....the default is "Compliance details", the other is "Full details".....you want to select the "Full details". That will show you a bunch of other stuff you're asking about.

Your AHI is looking good!

Best wishes,

Den

I've used only Encore Pro for years. Den's right... the full details including the hour by hour leak rate chart you asked about, snoregirl, is right there in Encore Pro beginning on page 4 where the daily details graphs begin. I don't even bother to look at the first 3 pages.

But you do have to click "Full Details" (not leave it on the default of "Summary") in order to see the juicy stuff when you go to to view your downloaded results in Encore Pro.

Even when you do that (Full details click) you need to use PageDown key or the little green arrow at the top of the page that appears first. Using the scroll bar at the side of the page just goes to the bottom of that first page. Doesn't scroll down through the report pages. I hit PageDown a couple of times to get past those first boring pages.

I suppose "Summary" is the default because that's all most DMEs or doctors would ever be interested in...how many hours was the machine used. pfffttt.

Normal leak rate for the Swift (depends on pressure being used) is here:

Ok

I see in the chart that at a pressure of 12 it is 37 L/min and I am at a pressure of 13 and am averaging 40. So that tells me I am a hair over normal leakage. Not too bad. Thanks RG.

Only problem now is I do not seem to have on Encore Pro the little green arrow or even a scroll bar.

And I don't see a download date line either

I wonder if I could take a screen shot of the page that come up when I open encore pro

Ok guess that may work. This is what I see when I double click encore pro from my desktop. Any ideas where to go to find detailed data?

you need:

1. Open EncorePro, select your patient profile (create one if you haven't done that).
2. After selecting your patient profile, select Download data from SmartCard.
3. Say okay if your machine doesn't match current patient profile,
4. Say NO to Erase Data after download.

When you have downloaded the card it will store the info in the database. Clicking on your profile should list out all the downloads. You can print or print to a PDF document. Older versions of EncorePro allowed you to print page ranges but the newest versions do not (you can print ranges from the PDF document ).

snoregirl, start Encore Pro again.

1. The name you blacked out in the "Patient List"....doubleclick your name there.

2. That will bring up an "Interaction List" with a list of downloaded dates....most recent "Sleep Therapy Compliance Download" will be at the bottom of the list. Doubleclick that date (or any date you wish.)

3. A little window called "Report Options" will pop up. That's where you need to click the circle in front of "Full Details". Leave the "Specify date range" alone in the righthand side. Click "ok".

4. A "Report Viewer" window will pop up. It will be blank for several seconds (will seem like a long time to you) while the report loads in the Viewer.

When the first page appears, look up at the tool bar along the top of the "Report Viewer". That's where you'll see the little green down-arrow icon. Or, just use the PageDown key on your keyboard. The first three pages are not interesting to me. The 4th page is where the good stuff starts.

If you ever want to send someone your Encore Pro report, first save the report while you're looking at any page in it, by clicking the word File (at top of the Report Viewer), then click PDF Export. Give the file a name you can easily recognize and save it to a folder where you can find it easily. I made a folder called C:\Encore Reports for mine. You can then attach the saved PDF file to an email in the future.

Downloading data from your smart card -

In the Patient List, doubleclick your name.

The Interaction List will appear. On the leftside menu, under the word "Interactions", click "Download Data" and click "SmartCard Reader".

A window called "Enter Interaction Details" pops up. Disregard name of physician, etc. At the bottom of that popup window, it asks, "Is the SmartCard going to be returned to the same patient?" "Yes" is already selected. Click "ok".

If you have more than one SmartCard and have switched cards, sometimes you might see a message something like, "The information on the SmartCard doesn't match the patient...continue?" I just click "yes" or "ok" or whatever to make it go on and download.

I don't have to show my SmartCard to a doctor or DME or anything. It's just for me. So, it suits me fine for my Smart Card to be erased automatically after each download. People who will need to present their SmartCard to the DME periodically for "compliance" verification will need to do this one time before downloading at home:

In your computer, go to C:/Program Files/Respironics/Encore Pro/Utilities

Doubleclick the file called:
"Don't erase data after download.reg"

That will keep the data intact on the SmartCard for the DME or doctor to see later. I don't want to see the same data over again or wait for the same stuff to be downloaded again. So, I never changed that setting in the Encore Pro folder in my computer.

Even if you didn't have Encore Pro and never did a download, it's normal for the card to overwrite older "Daily Details" with new dates as time goes by. The card will store only a week's worth or less of "Daily Details" before overwriting the older data. That doesn't matter to the DME's...all they want to see is hours of use.

It does matter to those of us who want to see our daily details regularly. So, if you don't want to miss any of that, be sure to download your SmartCard at least once every 5 days. Supposedly it will hold about a week's worth of sessions, but to be on the safe side, don't wait longer than 5 nights before downloading.

Snoredog, I had already created the profile and such as you mentioned.

RG, your post gave me the level of detail I needed to get the additional windows open to see the charts.

I could have sworn I had double clicked on every possible thing, but obviously not.

Amazing that there is nothing in the help section that mentions doubleclicking on the patient and then the date.

I found it and all is great.

Thanks for the help both of you.

I copied both of your posts to my hard drive in case I have amnesia!!
