Now What?? Got MyEncore to work, can't scan cards now

Post by dllfo » Wed Aug 30, 2006 12:32 pm

Now that I got got MyEncore to work...when I try to scan the data off either one of our smartcards I get this message

EncorePro

Can't connect to the device

then there is a place to click "OK"

If you click on OK, you are out of the Extract Data mode.

Any ideas? I tried reinstalling the SmartCard Reader/Writer CD. No luck. My computer no longer sees the card reader.

IDEAS??
Installing Software is like pushing a rope uphill.
I have Encore Pro 1.8.65 but could not find it listed
under software.

I LOVE the SV.

are the SQL services started?

run a program called sqlmangr.exe, enable/start the services if they are not running.

No it was not running. I went into programs...actually I went into Startup, then I found it sitting there, executed it.

Not working.

I get the same "Can't connect to the device"

Maybe if I reboot the computer it will work?? Nope, did not work.

I don't know, it worked fine before I installed MyEncore...I must have done something wrong with the instructions I got.

I will try again.....any more ideas welcome.

Did you move the reader to a different USB port? If you did move it back where it was. The reader doesn't like ports on hub either so keep it on a port on the computer MB.
