I am excited about this and don't know if I can wait for reviews to order one or not! I will be watching this thread closely.

OutaSync :

May we suggest to make the nasal cut, as if the gel is lifted on the nasal side, it will have a groove underneath that will lead to leaking
but if you do the nasal cut, the gel will be flat on the face so air will press the gel down, not to go under

Thanks

I was afraid to cut it, as it may not leave a full inch on the inside, but I will try that next. Thank you.

Having tried the t-shaped gel comfort pad-unsuccessfully, I decided to give Lanisoh a try --with my Comfortgel full face mask.
My minor (so far) weight loss seems to be mainly on my face--spoiling my formerly good fit.
I smeared a thin line of it along the contact surface of the comfort flap. Ta-daa; it worked!
My leak rate was back in single digits again--and my face still feels like silk where the Lanisoh touched it--over 12 hours later.

Do you get the feeling you're a beta-tester?

I slept pretty good with it last night. It is nice not to wake up with the triangle on my face. It did leak a little, but not as much as before.

I squared up the nose bridge opening, as suggested, and tried it with a Quatrro FFM, not the FX. I think it was a big mistake to square it off. Even though I took out just a tiny bit, I had a steady stream of air into my eyes. I couldn't get it to seal and I had it so tight it was hurting my nose, not the back of my head. Took it off and had a hard time geting to sleep.

So, I've tried three different masks with no success. Next experiment will be with a Ultra Mirage FFM, if I can find where I put it.

OutaSync:

After cutting the nasal cut, you need to squeeze in the upper half of the gel cushion inside the mask before placing it on your face, so you will get 1 inch from both sides "even around the cut" inside the mask.

Thanks

OutaSync : May I ask you what size of full face masks did you use with the gel cushion?

Thanks

Hi CPAP Seal, could you post a picture of what is should look like if the gel is tucked into the mask. I have bought a gel pad but am a bit nervous about cutting it but I need to as it blocked my nose.
Thanks
Sue

Although 2 months ago we took a permission from CPAP.com (Dan) to announce about our products, yet we are so reluctant to do that for fear of being considered as spammers. So we decided to only answer users questions and sure yours. But posting a picture on this site might be a bid on the advertisement side which we are trying to avoid. Would you please give us 2 days and we will place the picture that you have requested on our web site?

Thanks for your understanding

Cpap Seal,

I've tried it on several masks, all size medium. I do have a large Quattro somewhere that I can try it on. Maybe the extra thickness requires a larger size?

Last night I tried shoving the gel inside the mask to make sure there was an inch margin on the inside. As you said, the gel tries to go back to it's original shape and it felt like it was crawling on my skin before the air finally busted through. If I poked it from the outside, it would stop leaking for a few seconds and then the crawling sensation and the leak would pop through, again. On prior nights the gel came completely over my eyes, a very strange sensation. Last night with the extra poked inside, the edge of the gel was hitting me square in my eyes, making it very uncomfortable. I haven't trimmed it back for my eyes as I'm afraid to cut it too much and not have enough margin. I would rather have it come completely over my eyes than to end in my eyes.

I'm certainly open to suggestions. I want this to work.

OutaSync :

I am highly suspicious about the size of your gel cushion!
We have said on our web site that Medium masks require small gel size. May I ask you, what size of CPAP Seal Cushion did you order?
