I am relocated

Post by Surly Abond » Tue Aug 23, 2005 6:12 pm

Hello posting friends,

I am relocated to Austin Texas from India . Is very much warm here. Much like my home in Kolkata . My family is very happy. We are very blessed to be in USA .
I was not prepared for the electricity in USA. My TYCO breathing machine power supply is not able to connect to power. I was very fortunate to find power supply at electronics shop. Shop is named Radio Shack . They were very helpful .

Austin is a very beautiful and very clean city . I search for location for book shop. I presently am residing at hotel that brother owns . He has several hotels in city. Austin is best choice for my family. We will enjoy living here.

Many many blessing to all for most gracious assistance and advice to emigrate to USA. We are very honored to be Americans .

Many blessing,

Surly Abond

Welcome, Surly and family! Hope the rest of your transition goes smoothly. Best wishes to you all as you adjust to your new surroundings.

I must tell you and all I just went to my first traditional Indian wedding last weekend and it was one of the most beautiful things I have ever been to. I enjoyed it more than anything I have been to in a long time. All Indian food (which I loved) and the ladies' (men's also) dress was out of this world. About 400-500 guests and about 10 of us in American dress. Most impressive evening! It was held in gorgeous botanical gardens in N.C. Much to my sorrow, I was not able to attend the reception on the following evening, but my daughter did and enjoyed it every bit as much as the wedding.

Hey Surly, Take a break from the heat and come on down to Schlitterbahn this weekend. The Hottest Coolest Time In Texas...Schlitterbahn .. Or the Comal river .

Or just go for a dip in Barton Springs in Austin .... either way it will freeze the bajeebers off ya.

Surly, welcome to the U.S.!

It's very good to hear that you and your family are settling in happily.

I hope your book business prospers when you start it. And I hope you continue to enjoy smooth breathing sleep for many, many years to come!

I was glad to see your post -- letting us know you arrived safely.
