Five consecutive nights under 5 AHI!
Five consecutive nights under 5 AHI!
Woohoo! I did it!
And it only took six weeks, two machines (I'm convinced now that the first one was malfunctioning -- was getting up to 17 or 18 every night while second one has never gone above 13), and tinkering per the collective wisdom here.
Thanks to everyone here who remind us that this journey takes a while for most of us. I appreciate all the support here.

Yeah! And yeah for A-Flex. I'm thinking of submitting my name to become an official A-Flex cheerleader : )))

Re: Five consecutive nights under 5 AHI!
I am happy for you.
My 7-day average is now down to 3. (around 9 during the sleep study).
However, my average nightly hrs. of usage is at an even 4 hrs.
I can't seem to leave it on during the night. How can I do it? I think I wake up, and in my semi-awakeness, I take it off and roll over on my stomach. My leakage is around 31 for my LT. I do not tape my mouth. At my age, I only sleep about 5.5 hours.
I don't know if I have A-flex or not. All those who say they have m-series with A-flex have a machine that looks like mine.
But in one thread, I was told that it had to say A-flex on the machine. Do they need to update their profile machines?
On the top of my machine it has a while sticker tab that says M032325. Does that mean I have Aflex?
But this is only a trial machine. That's why I'll be glad when I get to try out the Resmed Autoset.

If it doesn't say "A-Flex" just below the the door over the LCD screen it is NOT an A-Flex.

What's the difference between A-flex and C-flex on an M-Series Auto?Hawthorne wrote:If it doesn't say "A-Flex" just below the the door over the LCD screen it is NOT an A-Flex.

So I guess mine isn't. Then you can't see it on the pictures at this site, even when you click on "enlarge".
Just wondering. I thought it was a silly question, but I was told long ago that its sillier not to ask when you don't know.
thanks,
Jay

Re: Five consecutive nights under 5 AHI!
Dreamdiver- check the Respironics website and look for the explanation of the difference between C-Flex and A-Flex and even Bi-Flex.

Re: Five consecutive nights under 5 AHI!
Packitin - This is the top of the M Series Auto with A-Flex. Someone posted this picture a couple of days ago - I can't remember the thread.
I always ask too! If I don't know, I just ask.

Re: Five consecutive nights under 5 AHI!
Well, thanks.
What I don't understand is that all those on this forum don't have the correct picture. I'm just afraid that some new person will look on the website and order the wrong machine. Those who rave and rant about how good the A-flex is need to specify some way on their profiles. Someone, like me, whose half asleep and knows no better will think they have all those good qualities on their machines and they really don't. That will just give them more stress that they don't need.
CHANGE THOSE PROFILES, please.

Re: Five consecutive nights under 5 AHI!
This confusion may be because the machines look so similar. I believe all of the M series flow generators are in the same outer case. And that's why I prefer people to put their information in text not pictures!

Re: Five consecutive nights under 5 AHI!
Good work! Now, are you ready for me to shove something up your nose to see if we can get it under .5?
Not that I've consistently gotten THAT myself, but I know some other Nasal Aire II users who have.
Corgi.... Come to the Dark Side... I am your father....

I forgot to add, that it took me several months to settle into the therapy process. Keep on keepin' on : )CorgiGirl wrote:Woohoo! I did it!
