Hi Surly,

That is great news -- and you have lost weight too!

Isn't it wonderful not to fall asleep all the time?

Best of wishes to you.

Sleep well,

Jane

I've gained 20 pounds, too, and I'm not hardly eating any differently than I was before. I gained 5 pounds practically overnight lately, another 5 before that after a weekend of being very diligent in my eating. Think I need to go see my GP and get a referral to an endrochronologist or get my Cortisol levels checked. Oh, and that's since Dec. 9

I think the reason that we gain weight is the PC. We spend hours and hours sitting on our butts looking up OSA. Then we find this forum and we're hooked ! We need to get off our big butts people. Before they get even BIGGER ! A little exercise never hurt anyone either.

Surly, What is the status of your imigration ? Where will you be going ?

Last week I told my Family Dr that I eat less, got lots more exercise with all the shoveling snow this past month and gained almost 10 pounds. Told him I was beginning to feel like a blown-up balloon. He told me the machine was causing the bloat from all the air I was swallowing. Find out more on the 19th as thats when I see the Lung DR who ordered the C-PAP machine. Been using the machine for a year now and just starting to sleep a bit longer at night. Without the machine, I never slept over 2 hours most nights for years and now sometimes get 5 hours sleep. Still tired days-- fell asleep using the Computer at noon time today. Got another new mask from Home Therapy today. Hope it fits better.

Dot, if you are on a straight CPAP it could indeed be pumping in more air than you need, but I found the bloating went away during the first month of use.

And strangely, all of a sudden I've lost 10 pounds in just days and am still losing. Go figure!
