Can a dme easily change the number of hours used on a resmed cpap machine?Am thinking of buying a so called lightly used machine ie fewer than 100 hours but want to be sure the existing run time shown on the machine hasn't been modified.
If some used car dealers can do it, why not others?

Re: Changing run hours on a cpap machine.
Nothing unusual about a low hour machine. Many folks are prescribed Cpap, and tinker with it a couple of nights a week for a few months and quit. Cpap compliance is virtually 50/50, so there are no shortages of low hour machines out there.

No, a DME can't.Chapalauser wrote: ↑Sat Jul 20, 2019 11:07 amCan a dme easily change the number of hours used on a resmed cpap machine?
Presumably a factory service facility could, but we have no firm evidence either way on that subject.

Just be sure you're looking at run hours, not used hours. Used hours can be reset.
