If you have a mask and xPAP machine, fill out your profile. After you do that, I'm sure more will respond with a more meaningfull lists of things.

Such as:
__Two inch paper surgical tape (Micropore or etc.)
__ChapStik
__Bag Balm
__PC software to track your progress (if xPAP is compatible).
__Smart Card Reader
__Place to house the xPAP.
__Place to store all the other stuff, such as, extra masks or ones you don't like.
+ Aussie heated hose.

If he's really feeling generous... how about the heated hose?

Kimberly

PS. What's the vinegar for?

The heated hose...hmm...yes!

The vinegar (I think) is for cleaning/disenfecting tubes. Read that somewhere...thought here.

My machine is on order...still waiting..... hopefully, tomorrow, thought yesterday!

Wishing you dreams!!!

PS. What's the vinegar for?
White vinegar mixed 1:3 with water is a great mask cleaner. It will also remove the soap scum build up from using other products like baby shampoo. I use the baby shampoo for 6 days then clean with the white vinegar followed by a water rinse. White vinegar seem to revive the mask seal.

Absolutely.

Way to hang the mask from the wall
Power strip to turn all equipment on and off at once
Digital timer for silent control of power strip.
Another hose and mask for use while the first one dries.
Neti pot or squirt bulb for nasal irrigation
Some extra pantyhose for cutting and tieing
Plumber's tape for hose connection leaks
Measuring cup for the distilled water

Lots of good humor - to be supplied in equal amounts by both of you.

Good Luck
O.

Funnel to fill humidifier.

Scrunchies to help secure everything and anything.

Big safety pin (to help hold the hose to the mattress in motels).

An extra power cord for the cpap. Keep it in your travel case for when you go off and forget yours.

Extension cord - again for motel and traveling.

FAA flying info for when you fly with your cpap. CPAP is always "carry-on" (never check it), but doesn't count as carry-on luggage. Keep a copy in your travel bag. Here's the link:

You have many great selections above, but how about:

MUST HAVE ... (all available from CPAP.com)

1) Quick connectors for each end of each hose (+ at least 2 spare ones)
(these overcome the issue of having to wrench a tube off a mask/machine when the rubber dries & grabs tight)

2) At least one spare swivel connector
(always useful, esp when lab-ratting)

LUXURY MUST HAVES ...
1) A dial pressure gauge
(very helpful for seeing what happens on some times of machines (cflex, bilevel))

2) Resmed quick disconnect swivel
(hard to come by but great if you have a 1foot + a 6 foot hose arrangement)

Cheers

Definitely the SleepZone heated hose to eliminate rainout.
Grossan Hydro-Mate (or hydro something) machine for nasal irrigation, much easier and better than a neti pot IMO.
maybe a memory foam bed wedge to help w/ aerophagia and acid reflux; very comfy.

Isn't this fun? Kinda like a Christmas list.

Some type of battery backup system to get you thru a couple of days of power outage.

If you will be using a nasal type interface, various products to prevent/relieve nasal congestion.

A couple of extra hoses (2ft & 3ft) with connectors in addition to your standard 6ft hose to use as backup or to adjust for different lengths.

A digital camera to take pics of your equipment or setup in order to post on this forum ... to help others or to help explain your own problems.

Also:
  • * Afrin nasal spray for those nights when you just cad breade tru your dose.
    * Breathe Right strips (ditto)
    * Snore Relief spray (from Breathe Right). It never stopped my pre-CPAP snoring, but it now does a great job of lubricating my throat before I strap on my mask, which cuts way down on the coughing brought on by dry throat.
