Cold Intolerance

Post by FreddyZ » Thu Jan 11, 2018 12:37 pm

I'm noticing more and more that during the winter my cold intolerance is getting worse. Especially at night while trying to fall asleep. I'm not sick. I also have heart pounding, shortness of breath, going to bathroom more at night and waking up every hour. Have any other sleep apnea sufferers experienced this?

Wear fuzzy jammies.
And see your doctor.

Get your thyroid checked... it's often responsible for cold/heat intolerance.

I have also read that untreated sleep apnea can really mess with your thyroid and other hormones.

I agree. I can tell when my thyroid is off by feeling colder than usual. See a doctor.

I think that's normal as you age....that's why people move to warmer climates when they retire. More bathroom visits can also be a sign of prostate problems.
That's also common as you age. Discuss these things with your doctor at your next check up.
