Thank you.

I discovered this group earlier this week and have spent several hours reading. You have all been of so much help and encouragement, by your sharing of information and presence, knowing I could ask questions. Yesterday, I finally spoke with a member of my compliance team (didn't realize I had a team). and hooked up the equipment and slept 3-4 hours. It wasn't bad. Certainly something that will quickly become routine. Will I master this to the degree that most of you seem to have done, all the abbreviations and exchange of information about the details of what's going on with your breathing at night? Probably not. So I'm truly in awe. But as long as I can sleep better and safer that will be good. I do have questions.
1) Is there a way to add equipment details to my profile? I don't think I did and this is my only post since the original.
2) A few times there was a feeling of the skin at the inside edges of the mask "fluttering" at level 14. Not constantly. Is that to be expected.
3) Stomach gas! Is that a thing? I rarely produce that. Toward this morning, getting up to go to the BR, LOTS!
4) If stomach gas IS a thing and related to the new air, how does it get there?
Respironics DreamStation w/heated humidifier, heated tubing
ResMed Mirage FX nasal mask.
Apnea high count 31, barely severe.
Machine settings: 14 max with ramp starting at 5, and did notice a feeling of struggling to breathe. Went with it.
Sincerely...thanks again. You all make fascinating reading.

How to add your equipment to your profile.
wiki/index.php/Registering_Equipment_in_User_Profile

The air in the belly or gut...fairly common and there are some things that can be done if it becomes too much of a problem
Read this for starters....we call it aerophagia
wiki/index.php/Aerophagia question

Your question about about the mask I don't know about without knowing the mask.

Pugsy, <3 for taking time to answer.
Aerophasia: presumed it was machine related.
Claustrophobia, mild: MedBridge tech opted for nose mask only.
Equipment profile: Found the examples, but not selection lists. Will try again.
I want to take the period out of my name. Is that possible?

Yes, but Carolyn would need to do it. Send her a PM and explain what you want.

As for not seeing your equipment in the drop down equipment list...not everything is there.
Tell me exactly which nose mask you are using and your machine brand and model and I will look to see if you just overlooked it or it isn't there.
