Test result question

Hi everyone I was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea and I understand everything in my test except this last paragraph and I'm hoping you might be able to provide some insight:

"Of note some of the scored events were periodic in nature, which did not meet cheynes stokes criteria, but were associated with pes delta values ranging in value from 11-17 cm of water, suggestive of an obstructive component of these events."

Anyone have that in their results and know what it means exactly?

Was their anything special in the polysomnogram procedures?

This is a question that should be asked of the physician who ordered the test.

it may just be a note that they found your pulmonary system to be more flexible (elastic) that most patients and that care may have to be taken in prescribing higher (11 to 17 cm) pressures, even though those are usually in the normal band of therapy.
If that is the case, you would probably not be prescribed a machine with the normal 4 - 20 cm automatic range.
Guess we will see when you ask your doctor.
