I just wanted to thank those that posted suggestions here. I am a brand new CPAP user, and my nose was getting more sore each night. I tried the suggestions mentioned here, loosening the straps so the P10 wasn't so tight, and I got the lanolin to put on. My nose felt so much better this morning! I really appreciate having this resource.

Thanks again!

For me, it was full face mask designs that required very tight straps. Wore a hole on the bridge of my nose. Changed to Fisher Paykel Simplus mask which seals very well on my particular face. As one of our colleagues here said: masks should "float" on our faces, not be since down like industrial respirators. I was very fortunate to have a DME who cared about my sleep and comfort more than $$$.
