Weight Loss Club - Friday Check-in Week 2

Post by kikisue » Fri Jan 20, 2006 9:06 am

Happy Friday, all!!

I'm attempting to paste links to our previous remarks, in case anyone wants to look at the history. I'm new to trying to post links, so hopefully it works!

As to my progress report for the week - no weight loss, but I have exercised a few times, so that is progress for me. I have also committed to walking a 5K in April, for Race for the Cure as well as training for a half-marathon - 13.1 mile walk - in May. So, I'm hoping those goals will keep me motivated to continue exercising regularly, which will be the key for me to lose the pounds. Wish me luck!

kikisue,
Just checking in, no weight loss, but have exercised everday except for two this month. You have some great goals set!!!! I want to do some walking and biking in some events this year also. Good motivation and good causes, maybe someday they will have events for us OSA patients. Now, I have to quit smoking, I started up again last summer!!! I'm sooooo bad!!!! Have a great day!!!

I spent a lot of time this past week looking on the Internet for good receipes for great taste and low cal ingredients. Mostly what I find is for a family. I need receipes for one!

The week was encouraging, I actually look forward to my daily workout. Problem is I got a new puppy last week and I would rather spend time with him!

Water is getting easier to drink, too. Not quite up to where I should be but something is better than nothing.

Good luck and remember, summer is coming and we won't be able to hide behind bulky sweaters and heavy coats. (for you who are in naturally warmer climates, I sympathize)

A new puppy! What breed? If you can post a picture I'd love to see him. Could use some cheering up...

Jake is a 3 1/2 month old Poo-Chi or Mexican Poodle or a Chia-Poo...
He is a whopping 2 lbs., should be 5-6 when grown. I have a 4 year old 5lb Yorkie who liked him the first day and now is waiting for him to go home. She liked being an only child! He is a cutie!

Now that really is a day-brightener! What a cutie! Look at that face! I'm sure your yorkie will adjust eventually. She must be very jealous!

Bonnie he is cute.

Not sure if I have lost weight or not. We do not have a bathroom scale, but today with my IBS, I know I have dropped at least 20 pounds.

Started this diet two weeks ago. At one point had lost a little over 6 pounds. THEN....how rude is THIS!...while I was still dieting absolutely perfectly, no cheats...the scale went back up 3 pounds and STAYED THERE. Now I remember why I don't like to diet...sigh.

But I'm not thinking about it and continuing to stay on the f**king diet. Honest.

ooops, sorry I'm late

Post by jimbo1957 » Sat Jan 21, 2006 3:13 pm

Yesterday was incredibly busy... but I did get on the scale. 308.2 yesterday morning, and 307.4 today. From my start at 322.2, I am happy as a clam ! I am also walking to work most days of the week (even if it kills my knees and feet...--this too will pass...)

This 15 pound drop is since Jan 2, so I continue on the South Beach program and am optimistic. But of course ANY progress is good. Still struggling with the cpap mask and have not yet managed to go four hours with it on. But I do think I'm feeling better and sleeping more soundly.
