Encore Pro 1.5 Didn't give 'Daily Details' Last Night.

When I downloaded the Smart Card this morning, there was no 'Daily Details', only a blank page from Encore Pro 1.5? All other report pages were present. The download was only for one night, as the Smart Card has been being erased. I fixed that yesterday to 'Not Erase' after downloading.

Yesterday's single-day report included the 'Daily Details' page.

Any ideas?

Sure wish I could get My Encore working.

BTW, I used a Breeze for the first time last night. Jury is out. I'm going to use it again tonight. Been using a Swift. I'll give you my thoughts after a few more nights with the Breeze. I'll start another topic.

I had exactly the same problem three nights ago. No nightly details. It was ok again the next night. The funny thing was that MyEncore showed the details for that night....

Re your MyEncore problems. did you upgrade from EP 1.4, or do a new install from the 1.5 download? I'm wondering if that is the problem..., that is a clean install generates a different database structure.

I think I'm on to it! I have just found that after upgrading to EP 1.5 I have two versions of the MS SQL Server "service" installed on my computer. The first is listed as "MSSQLSERVER", which is what I have had since EP 1.4, but I have just found that after installing EP 1.5 I also have "MSSQL$ENCOREPRO".

If I stop the "MSSQL$ENCOREPRO" service, Encore Pro 1.5 will not run - can't find the database. If I stop the regular "MSSQLSERVER" service, then MyEncore will not find the database, and gives the error screen.

Would you do me a favor and check your services:

Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services

and scroll down the list looking for the two entries above. Would you let me know by PM if only the "MSSQL$ENCOREPRO" is present.

I think I have a work-around...

yesterday I had both services present and running, (MSSQL and MSSQL$ENCOREPRO). I uninstalled EncorePro, uninstalled MSSQL, uninstalled MSSQL$ENCOREPRO. Installed EncorePro1.5 from scratch. I now have MSSQL$ENCOREPRO service present and running, the EncorePro1.5 app works, downloads card data, shows compliance. the original MSSQL service is gone.

MyEncore still won't connect. Fails the osql -E test. Pretty sure it doesn't find a "trusted connection". Can connect using full server reference.

Here is the question I really came here to ask: I get only compliance data from the EncorePro app. Nothing more. Is there somewhere I can drill down to get more details? I exported the .csv file and looked at it with Excel. Still no more details. Do I need to configure something somewhere to get "details" ?

Ric,

Double click on a download in the 'Interaction List.' You will get a window with the option to get 'Details'.

It is very obscure, isn't it? I had the same problem.

Under "Download Data", there is a submenu which has only "Smart Card Reader, Direct Device Connection". nothing more. Am i looking in the right place?

I am wondering if I downloaded a "dumbed-down" version of the program, (hence the stunningly FREE price). (?)

No, probably I'm pushing the wrong button, or using the wrong finger. I'm open for more suggestions.

No, no, no, Ric, it's not a menu option. On the bottom left hand side of your screen is a list with all the downloads you've done so far, correct? Double-click the one with the latest date (bottom of the list), and it will pop up a box that gives you the option - summary or full details. You want full details.

Boy, they sure did make finding the Compliance versus Full Detail an intuitive feature in the software. I never would have found it unless I read it in this forum and I've been in IT for over 20 years. Whoever designed that wanted to hide it.

As for the card reader, I too had to go to the 2Factors website and download/install the Ecore Driver software for my reader to work. The driver on the CD that came with the reader will not work with Encore. You get the "Card Reader Not Found" message.

You will then get this window:

Wonder if I can uninstall EP and reinstall without losing the database? Might fix it. I've re-booted, so that won't fix it. All's (I like that 'all's'. I'm a Southern boy and we say 'you all' but Yankees say 'All's'). Anyway, all's I did was exercise the option to not erase the card after downloads and now I can't get the 'Daily Details' page.

I don't need the Encore Pro reports, now. I am using My Encore. Derek fixed it so it would work for me.

When I downloaded this morning and checked Encore Pro, 'Daily Details' were there for last night, but not the two previous nights. (I have three nights on the card, now, since I stopped erasing the card after each download.)

This is puzzling. But, I suppose I could take it as an omen of good times to come. Maybe there will be two nights reported when I download tomorrow.
