error error error!

Post by Mimmie » Sun Dec 03, 2006 8:00 am

This morning at 4:30 I woke up to my machine blowing sporadically from full force to ramp and then back again. Then it stopped completely and started beeping in a series of 2 short, one long beeps and on the window it says E-47.

Mimmie,

Did you try unplugging it and see what happens?

From what I understand any error message has to be serviced by Respironics.

Contact either your DME or the store you bought it from. If you find anything out please tell us.

Here is a post with the same code problem.

http://cpaptalk.com/viewtopic.php?p=487 ... 9b89ccab9f

If it was a bi-level E47 is: FRONT_PANEL_TEST_DOWN_KEY_FAILURE

Good Luck.

I can do this, I will do this.

My disclaimer: I'm not a doctor, nor have I ever worked in the health care field Just my personal opinions.

I am looking at the error codes right now.

I cannot believe how horrible I feel right now and how I am dreading tonight without the jellyfish! I remember reading all of the posts on here when I first got the jellyfish and everyone saying, "You'll get used to it and then not be able to sleep without it." I thought, yeah, right! I cannot believe that I felt like this all of the time before the machine! Headaches, groggy, tired and even queasy. Ack.

From the posts that I have read, I will probably be making a trip to the shop tomorrow and since I have only had the jelly for a month or so, hopefully they will replace it for me. Thank you for your input. Mimmie

On the Pro 2 or Auto, the E-47 error is:

ERR_FL12_SENSOR_RAILED
(Yes, I spelled "RAILED" the way it is in the manual....in case somebody thinks I misspelled it)

*Occluded or restricted pressure tube
*Defective flow sensor

*Replace flow tube
*Replace Main PCA

In any case, the machine needs to go into the shop and probably needs to be sent to Respironics to do the work.

Best wishes,

Den

Looks like you will need to send it in.

Table shows this info for your error:
Code E-47

What may be going on
•Occluded or restricted pressure tube
•Defective flow sensor

What to do
•Replace flow tube
•Replace Main PCA
ERR_FL12_SENSOR_RAILED

If you want a complete listing of error codes for future reference, go here.

Explanation of error E-47 "railed"

Post by hen3ry » Mon Sep 03, 2007 2:53 pm

Folks:

Better late than never... and I'm not certain this will do any good, but for what it is worth, "railed" as in

"ERR_FL12_SENSOR_RAILED"

is tekkie talk that probably means that the value read from some sensor (the "FL12" sensor?) is at one of the extreme values.

Think of an old-fashioned balance scale, weighing some object. If you are close to the actual weight, the scale moves back and forth as you make minor adjustments. If you are far off from the actual weight, much too high or low, the balance will be pinned against a mechanical stop on one side or the other.

In other words, this seems to mean, "I can't get a useful reading from a sensor so I can't operate."

I would try disconnecting the machine and letting it rest ... at least 10 seconds, but preferably 30 minutes or so. If the error persists when the machine is powered up again, yes, this translates to "broken, needs repair".

Late for you, but maybe this will help somone else.
