How do I the IPAP myself.

Post by dreamanddo » Fri Feb 17, 2006 10:22 pm

I just got a use BiPap Pro but the pressure is set too high. I know my own prescription and don't think I should have to rely upon a professional (pay money) to set the pressure on my own machine. Does anyone know how to set the pressure on a BiPap Pro (respironics)

Well, since nobody else jumped in here, I'll take a stab at this. The newer Respironics machines can be put into Clinician mode by holding down the buttons directly under the display for a few seconds while connecting power. (You must unplug the unit first and then plug it back in while holding the buttons down.) After that, it may be obvious. Not sure how many buttons the BiPAP Pro has but on four button machines the two buttons under the display scroll through the menu, while the HEAT and RAMP buttons select and deselect the choices.

Hope this helps.

Bill
