Cleveland clinic Home Care

Post by jskala » Sun Jul 27, 2014 12:18 pm

Recently I was diagnosed with osa and given a very basic none data machine from Cleveland clinic. I have not had the machine 7 days and am wondering what kinda of success I will have getting a data enabled one? Is there a return period?

It's usually 30 days, but you must talk to them, not us.

If it is a rental, just take it back and demand a full data model.
I thought CC was one of the "good" places! I guess not!

I got my machine from Cleveland Clinic home are as well but they gave me a machine with data. I just got it back in February. I would be questioning them about this.

I got mine from the Cleveland Clinic also...
What exact machine did you get? Are you sure that it is a brick?

Oh that is a brick... shame on them for giving you a brick...

call them first thing Monday morning and tell them that you don't want the machine.. Accept nothing less but one with full data capabilities..
i would shame them for what they gave you.. I would also notify your doctor.

Call your insurance first and find out who is in network. If there are others then you have a more powerful hand. You can let it be known you will buy else where if you can't get what you want. Make sure you get a copy of your prescription from your doc, you need it anyway if you travel in case of emergencies.

I would blame autocorrect for adding the "a".
I don't always catch the changes that my computer makes in its unending campaign to ---(whatdidisay?!
It took me a while to figure out how to add a new word to my dictionary. longer than I care to repeat.

Thanks for the help guys. I have good insurance to the point that I don't have to pay for the unit out of pocket at all. I will call clinic first thing Monday morning.

Remstar 220.
That's the System One SE 60 series. Optional heated hose.
https://www.cpap.com/productpage/pr-sys ... chine.html
Basic entry level machine even below the 260 model.
Manual altitude adjustment instead of automatic and probably some other missing features.
I have seen some promo material touting CFlex like it was the latest, greatest thing since sliced bread with the SE machines....big whoopie...CFlex has been around for 8 to 10 years I think. For sure with the Legacy series machines which were discontinued in 2007.
It's a brick and a very basic brick at that.
