I have lowered my settings to 9/19. Here are the results. Still almost all centrals. Now what. I do have a new sleep study soon. I just want to try to get my settings tweaked as best I can before that
time.

Try 8 EPAP and max of 13 IPAP with it only able to go to 13 max IPAP...don't let it go over 13 IPAP...or try fixed "S" mode with 8/12.

BTW....congrats on the leak line...to die for good. Good job.

Maybe we should have started low and worked up instead of down.

On your initial sleep study did anyone ever mention centrals?

I had 2 studies the first one was in june. it said that I had an ahi of 110 there were 140 centrals 12 obstructive and 7 hypneas. Desaturation was as low as 80%. cpap was initiated up to 15 without correction of respitory events. bipap was then set up and adjusted to as high as 25/15, residual ahi of 67.9. No ending pressure discovered. The doctor recommended a second night of sleep
testing. it is crucial that if cpap setting is higher than 10 a ffm should be attemted. otherwise we may be erroneously prescribing bipap for over tritration related central respiratory events. there are no reasons to suspect complex sleep apnea. second study says I was tritrated to a setting of 22/18. there was no supine and REM sleep tritration seen. residual ahi was 2.3. average heart rate during
sleep was 55 beats per minute.

This was without cpap??? Just the diagnostic sleep study?
Are you going back to this doctor? I wouldn't.

You need my S9 Adapt ASV. I didn't know you had all these centrals initially...they aren't going to reduce if they aren't related to pressure (if we continue downward with the pressure) and if you had them on the diagnostic study without the cpap titration then they aren't related to pressure.
Using a bilevel pressure machine only maybe helps when the centrals are caused by the pressure and that's just a maybe if a person is lucky.

With 140 centrals..and only 12 OAs and 7 hyponeas...your primary diagnosis would be Central Sleep Apnea. You need a different machine IMHO. You won't ever see a consistent reduction in centrals using this machine. You will have some good nights and bad nights just like you have been having but mostly bad nights and the good nights would be good only in comparison to the bad nights...they still will have too many centrals.

What you need is a sleep titration study using ASV machine...IMHO.

yes this was without cpap. I just called to confirm that they will be using an asv machine on this study. They said yes. Thank god, this has been one heck of a battle. I quit smoking and drinking over a year ago. I have been eating very healthy and have lost 20lbs. But still do not feel any better. I hope the asv will help. Thank you to all that have gotten me this far. I would have given up along time ago. I cannot thank
all of you enough.

Regards Benny

So here is the other nights numbers. Almost all centrals and getting worse. I have lowered my pressures and now the centrals are showing up. Even tho my ahi is quite high. I feel a lot better than
before with the lower ahi. Any thoughts on this. Thank goodness I have another slepp study on Monday and they will be using an asv machine. Still confused how I could possibly be feeling better.
