YAAHOOO!!!! Happy to hear the better news Dori, I have thought of you often and wondered how things were going. Prayers and good thoughts have helped along the long road to recovery and will continue to do so. Mike is one tough bird, he has gone through so much and always come out "smiling", I am so happy for you and the family.
Started cpap in 2010.. still at it with great results.

Wonderful news, Dori. Mike is so lucky to have you take care of him, and fight for him, when he needs it. May his recovery soon be complete, and you get the rest you probably need and richly deserve.

Dori,

I'm so glad to hear things are going better, I've been praying for you daily. Hang in there, things will feel better once you get him home. There is a lot of community help availble for at-home care, so take all the help offered, it will make his homecoming easier for you. I'll keep praying.

Jen

Happy 4th to everyone. Mike will be coming home Monday as a hospice patient, although strangely enough he seems to have improved quite a bit these last few weeks and even stranger is that he's not having any apneas that I or the nurses can observe. He sleeps peacefully. There's some speculation or theory that the strong antibiotics used and breathing treatments which he's still receiving have somehow opened his airway. The report on his swallowing test mentioned that his throat anatomy appeared normal although he was diagnosed with dysphagia and his swallowing of clear liquids is impaired. There was more mentioned but I forget now. It's been really hectic getting all the arrangements made but I think I've got things in place now if nothing else turns up. Hope you're all doing well and I'll try to catch up soon and say hello to all the newbies. Enjoy the holiday.
