I'm so very very sorry to hear this. You are so obviously one of the good guys. I do hope that it gets better for both of you. This damn winter, the worst of my life.

Hi Dori. I am adding you & Mike to my prayer list for your healing and strength. Please try to not worry, as worry impedes healing. I'm sure you have instructed family members how to best take care of Mike, & they will do as you ask, since you have attended the "school of hard knocks" and know better than anyone how to care for him. Don't hurry to see him if you are still not up to par. You need to rest and get well. When you finally get to see Mike, please be careful to not overtire yourself, so you don't get a relapse. It takes time to build up your strength after pneumonia, so please limit your activity as you are on the mend. When you talk to him next, tell him all your friends on the board are pulling for you both! Sometimes we think our loved ones can't hear us when they are ill and nonresponsive, but they still hear encouragement and love. Get well soon!

Dori, I am so sorry to hear that both you and Mike are going through a rough time! Please, please, please take care of yourself. You have to trust that Mike is being well taken care of right now. The best thing you can do for him now is to take care of yourself.

My thoughts and prayers are with you, Mike and your family!

Thanks so much for all the good cheer, it really makes me feel better! I spent 2 days in the hospital and today is the first day after 5 days at home that I'm feeling a little better. Mike has had several setbacks and is still in the hospital. They tried getting him to rehab but had to send him back to the hospital after one day. Besides pneum, he's got some type of bad flu bug that got past the ususal defenses. He's also having trouble swallowing. I haven't seen him since Tues but the Dr is allowing me to go see him tomorrow for 15mins total with mask and coverup, etc. It's very hard being away from him, nobody can take care of him like I can and it's not helping him recover without me. Hopefully, seeing him tomorrow will give him the lift he needs and I can see what they're doing with him and give some "helpful suggestions" to the staff concerning his care and comfort. The one good thing is that they fell in love with my family who were all there over the weekend so maybe he'll get some extra loving care. Again, thanks for reaching out to us, our cpap family means the world to us.
