It's been slow for me during the last few weeks. Even now when I tried to boot- in I got a flag that it is busy. There are times in late nights in which there no problems booting- in at all. It means to me that you have been adding features without having enough memory, i.e. the website needs more money to be invested in it to serve more users. There are several activities on the website that are useless and could be done with to save memory. For example those birth dates of hundreds of past posters who are gone for good.

It's improved some but it is still very slow to open and move around the web site in. All other web sites open quickly.

27 seconds for it to load in a tab open to another website. It is funny that it feels so long to us. I remember dial-up modems! But, yeah, in this day and age, that feels like too long.

And there are various tools to test your ISP's speed, but you probably will not be happy looking at the data over a longer time horizon (months); "throttling" has been in use for many years... as the economy hits the crapper again, I suspect this to get worse.

yes, still slower than we are accustomed to, on Monday at 6:52 PM CST. Taking about 30 seconds to load the site, and then another 30 to 40 sec to load the pages. Thanks Johnnie for anything else you could do to give it more speed. We have a need for speed!!!

It seems to vary depending the machine I'm using.
But it seems sluggish.

We need more speed, it's takes too much time to scan posts here, I might miss a video of acat playing a musical instrument. Jim

Slower than it has been, gives you time to think about things...the nature of life and how the universe was created, and so on *smile*. Or how in the world you're going to find time to get your car fixed, stuff like that. I guess life doesn't have to be at full speed all the time, can use some pauses to appreciate it. Get that from my 21 year old cat, too...poor thing shakes its head while she's walking and falls over. Still seems to enjoy life, although it has slowed down for her a lot. I can tell that she enjoys laying out in the in the sun in the buttercups in the back yard. And I've got lots of time to check out how she's doing and pet her a little while waiting for the forum *smile*.

I think unnecessary comments (mine too) about things like this, are what is using up the space. There are some people, with good intentions, that feel they must comment on everything. I don't mean people helping...just commenting. As of now...54 posts acknowledging that it is slow.

Sometimes I'm getting this error:

Error 520

Please try again in a few minutes.
If you are the owner of this website:
There is an issue between CloudFlare's cache and your origin web server. CloudFlare monitors for these errors and automatically investigates the cause. To help support the investigation, you can pull the corresponding error log from your web server and submit it our support team. Please include the Ray ID (which is at the bottom of this error page). Additional troubleshooting resources.

I guess it would have been more helpful if I'd copied the Ray ID, huh?

LOL and taking up more space. Um... wait a second... isn't that what a message board like this one is for? Yes, there are a few people who post constantly, about everything, even stuff that makes absolutely no sense and apparently just to rack up post numbers... but, it's a free country... right?

Howdy,

We pushed additional database tuning an hour ago.

The feedback from the last push was "not there yet".

Please give it a few hours use and let me know. Also, thank you for helping test this!
