Question about Resmed S9 Auto SD card

I would like a back-up SD card. Does it have to be from Resmed? I'm guessing it does.........but hopefully not.

No, it does not have to be ResMed brand SD card despite what ResMed might lead a person to believe.
Plain, generic SD card will work just fine. I used a Sandisk from WalMart with my S9 VPAP when I had it because I lost (or the dog ate it) the card that came with it.
May not be able to find a 1 GB card but 2 or 4 GB SD card will work just fine.
Smaller capacity cards are hard to find only because people are going to the higher capacity cards in general.

Nope, any 1, 2,or 4 GB SD card will do.
Some SDHC cards may work.
SDXC cards likely won't work at all.

Also...another question. Can I download data every night to look at on Sleephead, but when I go back to the doc's in 1 year, I'll be able to download all of it onto the card for him?? (The data for the entire year....which is what he looks at).

If you have the Rescan software you can download it onto that.

When you download the data into Sleepyhead or ResScan, it does NOT remove it from the SD card.

But the machine itself will periodically overwrite older data with newer data.
That is something you canNOT change.

But, regularly downloading your data into the software you choose will keep THAT data forever.
