I sent my backup machine to Accurate BioMed Services last week for firmware upgrade. It arrived at their facility Friday afternoon and is shipping back to me today. The firmware they installed seems to be Ver 2.53 but I'll check when it gets here. Mine was a very early model Respironics 750P auto BiPap.
That is remarkable turnaround time and great service.
Edit: I used ground shipping so it took three days to get to them.

Just got my machine back.
The firmware version is 2.55 and not 2.53 as I reported earlier. I assume that that is the lastest there will ever by for the Respironics 750P auto BiPap machine.
They included to test calibration results and my pressures are:
Test Criteria Test Result
4 cm H2O 4.01 CM H2O
16 CM H2O 16.07 CM H2O
25 CM H2O 25.11 CM H20
Right on the money and well within the error permissible with Respironics equipment.
My DME wanted me to bring in the machine once a year for checking on the pressure before I fired them. Of course there would have been a charge so the fee for the upgrade most likely would cover three annual visits.
They received the machine on Friday the 13th at 1:45 PM and the testing and firmware upgrade was finished at 4:43 PM.
Nothing but the best praises for them.
If you have problems with your machine, these are the folks to get it fixed
