HELP Sleppyhead Flipped out.

Post by racprops » Thu Jun 27, 2013 8:47 am

Ouch my copy of Sleepyhead just when NUTS:

The main two top graphts read OK and show almost no apneas.

But the readout on the left is insane..AHI : 523 OP: 523.31 RERA: 3726.28
Flow Limit: 262.82

This in insane.

I am think a uninstall and reinstall??

Last night I was asked if I have tried the RDI setting of sleepyhead, and I switched it over and although the program hung with its own closing, once i cleared it and it restarted at that time I saw no problem.

But this morning after a sloppy computer boot (system froze when I plugged in the SD Card reader) I ran into this false readings.

I tried to contact or report this to the maker with no way to do it. So I am posting this here.

Similar occurrences have been reported. It looks to me like the bug is associated with nights
with few to no recorded events.

I think that reinstalling SleepyHead will not fix anything.

How do you set that?

I hope you removed the card and rebooted before attempting to read the card.

If you get the same readings, plug the card back into the CPAP, wait 30 seconds and try reading it again.

The change from AHI to RDI is in File/Preferences.

Sorry nice try but doing that did not change anything, it still reads the same wrong numbers.

Thanks anyway.

Well it was only a short test but so far tonight’s report appears normal.

RATS Sleepyhead is still messed up.

Can anyone tell me how to contact Mark??

He needs to see this and hopefully fix it.

Rich

PS NOTE the upper graphs show no apneas..but in the second picture three graphs seem to stop reporting and show nothing:

The same thing happens to me which is why when I remove the mask or turn off the unit for a bit, I get missing data. Encore shows all the status so its best to check encore.

Definetely a software problem with Sleepyhead. We both have the same machines btw

Like mentioned im the previous post, try encore

Hi Rich,
SleepyHead isn't 100% compatible with your machine. Before the patch was available it didn't work well with my machine either (a 560). Unfortunately, the only way I know of to get rid of this is to create a new profile AND don't import that night.

Leaving it there isn't harmful, but it will skew some of the data that is computed over time (trends). The worse affect is that it skews the axis on the graph(s) with the incorrect data interpretation.

He has not responded to any of my messages, using contact information in SH (?) and at SourceForge, etc.

khauser you had that almost right:

I did create a new profile but I imported all the data and it now shows my real last night:

Perhaps it becomes overloaded keeping so much records...

Well friends I have a new problem.

Somehow and for some reason I have found myself waking up flat on my back.

I seem to have worked around until I am no longer laying on my back support pillow. And of course my AHIs have gone back up. With only 4:22.39 hours of sleep I am at 6.17 AHI and all of that happened in the last hour. Yesterday’s morning I also had done this trick and woke up flat on my back..it is becoming a trend.

Like our fellow suffers who tears off his/her mask, I am my own worst enemy.

This is my second wake up tonight, but it also is my first night without the pain pill.

First sleep cycle was only a 1:30. Second sleep cycle was 2:51. I have only lower back pain..pretty bad but it clears up a little.

I am going to hold off the pain pill and see how bad or better the rest of the night runs.

From the trenches:

Rich

PS Last night final report: 4.32 out of a total 8:15 sleep. I found my self again flat on my back again...

Latest.

Still fighting hip and back pain.

I am finding that the four inch so called memory foam bed topper that is a part of my mattress is not all that soft.

So we tried a three inch add on topper (Off my wife’s bed) and thinks seemed better and we tied an extra two inch on top of the three inch topper on top of the beds four.

And again things seemed better.

So I am having my wife pick up another two inches making it a four inch topped on my bed and giving her back her three inch topper.

Darn but these things work.

I think if I was not already having back pain, if it was not already tweaked I would now not have any back pain.

More as it comes along.

Here is a update picture of last night’s sleepyhead report.

This is now my normal read out.

I count myself very lucky to have gotten such results.

Image

Last night it seemed I need more input air so I set my PS Min to 2CM which gives me 8.5 exhale and 10.5 inhale, and again it seemed better.
