Can you please start your own thread totally devoted to your problem so it gets the attention it deserves?
Include which SleepyHead version to tried to download and use along with your Windows 8.0 information.
I am not familiar with Windows 8.0 and I don't use 7 zip either.
Did you get the message after you did the "extract all" to unzip?
Sounds like you got the wrong download.

Which New Oximeter??

Postby OldLincoln on Fri Aug 01, 2014 5:21 pm

I have SleepyHead v0.9.3-0 (beta) and want to both get an oximeter and upgrade when one's available with Windows installation exe. SH currently states to get a CMS50(x) oximeter but will that be consistent on new versions?

I have a big assumption that the oxi will upload data to SH AIBM (As If By Magic), is that correct?
if is true, any links to get it into the data?

It's going to be okay in the end; if it's not okay, it's not the end.

Nothing gets done by magic. You have to tell SH what you want it to do. SleepyHead is compatible with some CMS pulse oximeters though. Not all of them though.
I don't do pulse ox stuff so if you need more specific help with getting a pulse oximeter and/or getting it to work with SleepyHead I suggest you start your own thread in the main body of the forum so that you can get help specific for your needs. This thread isn't read often by the people who could help you.

SleepyHead is under revision as we speak...there's a newer beta version available now and another one in the works.

Thanks Pugsy, it does state:
Download SleepyHead-20140623-Win32-0.9.6-testbuild-Qt5.3.0-BrokenGL-WinXP-MinGW.zip (37.8 MB)

With my old equipment need brokenGL but is it really a test build? Stable? Will it keep my data? Etc.....

It should be fine but here's the nice part...you don't have to remove 0.9.3 to try 0.9.6
They are 2 separate programs and neither will bother the other. I still have 0.9.3 on my computer.
So if you have a problem with 0.9.6 you haven't lost 9.3

Just remember that there isn't an installer with 0.9.6 and you have to just open/launch/run the program after you unzip it, from the application.exe file in the main folder. It's the last file in the folder...easy to find. I just pinned it to my taskbar to save me from having to open the folder all the time.

I actually probably have 4 test builds at the moment on my computer but only using 1 of them right now.

I am in the process of getting a new machine which is supported by Sleepyhead. I have been using EncorePro/Basic with my Current M-Series Auto BiPAP that I have had for 6yrs.

I am looking into possibly getting a O2 sensor and looking to see what is compatible. One that I found I thought was interesting which would allow me to use my phone to collect the data. I still don't know if it has an export mode yet, but I'm curious if anyone has looked at it as a possible supported device

It would be better if you had your own thread in the main body of the forum if you want to discuss this pulse oximeter.
Most of the forum members don't bother with this SH tutorial thread so you are missing quite an audience who might be able to help you better.
I have no idea if the pulse ox you found above will do any overnight recording or how to get the data that it might record (if it records any data).

Just hoping Sleepyhead for the AS10 will be ready soon.
My S9 Autoset failed to write data to the card,
so I have set the gears in motion to get my AS10 Autoset for Her.

It's already working in the code, I just need more data to get it working swell :)

Edit: "working", as in, importing and showing the graphs and pressure settings, but the new fancy stuff (like CSR and RERA) as well as the other settings (Like EPR, humidifier, etc..) need adding in..

I am currently using the ResScan 5.1 software but would really like to give Sleepyhead a try when you get it compatible with the A10. Please keep us posted of the progress.

I'm a newbie & I appreciate all the information about SleepyHead.
I was able to download my data from my SD card & view the data.
I appreciate it!

Are there any suggested pulseoximetry models that work particularly well with Sleepyhead?

I think SleepyHead lists which models are compatible.
Pretty much all the CMS overnight recording models except maybe the blue tooth and I can't swear to that.
I don't do the pulse ox thing so I haven't kept up with which models work or not.
I did use the CMS 50 D Plus a couple of times and it worked fine but it seems most people aren't happy with that basic model and want fancier so I really haven't followed those other models.

Ah, I didn't realize there was a listing I will go looking for that. Thank you.
