What ever you do try to leave some air gap in the mouth and or the nose.

Hate to tell you this, but even with a FFM I still get horrifically bad dry mouth!

Yes, a full face mask will prevent mouth leaks and preserve therapy, but it won't necessarily stop mouth breathing, or just a plain open mouth, either of which could lead to dry mouth. And then there are medical conditions which could contribute.rosevader wrote:Hate to tell you this, but even with a FFM I still get horrifically bad dry mouth!

I am amazed as I read on this board at how many people experience this mouth breathing same as me! I am also very encouraged to read comments from so many people who have overcome the problem and been able to continue with the nasal mask/pillows. I am practicing keeping my tongue in the proper position to prevent this and hope it will get better, as it has for many others, in time. Else it will be on to the full face mask, or maybe hybrid mask, for me.

for me mouth breathing (air rushing feeling) was because i had the wrong ipap/epap settings. once i put in the correct therapeutic settings i never experienced that feeling again.

That's very interesting, raisedfist... How did you determine the correct settings?
