I wear it over as it can help to keep the mask in place when moving in bed or if getting up at night to pee.

My chin strap lays on my nightstand unused. Although it really helped keep my mouth shut, I was unable to use a nasal device. My wife had suggested I keep it in my pocket to wear at times she thinks necessary.

I can only wear it under my nasal pillows as I pull it around up over my lips for double duty and I couldn't do that and wear it over my mask.

I used to wear it under, but with the Bella, I wear it over.

As of writing, it is 24 under 5 over...interesting. I used mine under, last night...major strap head today . I also wore my mouth guard....major drool factor too. So I think tonight I will wear it without my mouthguard and see if that works. I can tape, but find even with using nexcare paper tape I do get tape residue and some tape burn. ....Oh what to do................ I shall keep experimenting, if I don't like the results I will go back to my Hybrid
Started cpap in 2010.. still at it with great results.

I don't always wear a chinstrap...

But, when I do...

I wear it under my nasal mask

Because, like 2flamingos....

I, too, am the most interesting man in the world

When I wear one, it has to go under, or I couldn't reach under my cushion to scratch my nose.

I also have this one and as the DME told me, I wear it under the mask. I never thought of trying it OVER but I would think it would really put pressure on the thinner Swift FX straps and especially that top plastic one and be rather annoying... Not that it isn't rather annoying now. I'm waking up with "strap" marks that won't go away for hours since using this

I don't wear a commercial chin strap.

I'm claustrophobic, and HOT, and the idea of wrapping my head up like a mummy was just too ridiculous and not something I could do.

So, I invented my own chin strap, the brandy-keg. Took a 4" diameter cylinder of heavy foam, used an apple corer to punch a hole through the center. Wrapped it in fleece, and strapped it under my chin, like a St. Bernard with his brandy keg.

As a consequence, Mostly of the time, I do't even know I have it on.

I'm having a hard time envisioning this from your description. Could you post a photo? I'd love to see what you came up with.

I use the Puresom Ruby Adjustable Chinstrap and the Swift FX nasal mask and the chin strap goes over. It locks the fx silicon straps down with a loose fit that stays put when I flip over on my side yet is very comfortable and leak free.

I'll see if I can get a picture. I have the camera. Just have to find a wig stand to strap it to. (My husband does not take good pix with this camera. Hmm. Maybe I could have HIM wear it?)

Oh, and you can sew your own strap for it, which I've done, but recently, I was looking at a worn out Comfortlite 2 strap and said, "Hmmm." I then cut that in half vertically, ran one piece through my brandy keg, and voila, an easy strap.

Under. Its tough to make headgear adjustments with a chinstrap over it.
