Yep, I believe these quotes are all SO true! I believe quality sleep is one of the keys to health and longevity.

The difference I feel after a good nights sleep is remarkable! Unfortunately, there aren't enough of them.

Re: "The most important predictor of how long you will live"
When comparing the effects of different regimens on longevity, shouldn't we take them net of time spent sleeping? Unconsciousness shouldn't count. We have infinite unconsciousness ahead of us. Hasn't the person who lives 80 years with six hours a night of sleep really had as long a life as the one who lives 90 years at eight hours a night? They've both had 60 waking years, and the former has experienced more of life at a younger age -- with a full set of teeth and less arthritis.

This may be a fancy way of saying "often people with serious health problems don't sleep so good."rocklin wrote:"Sleep is the most important predictor of how long you will live — perhaps more important than smoking, exercise or high blood pressure.”

Seems to me that is true of the lack of anything that is truly necessary for life.rocklin wrote:“Lack of sleep makes people clumsy, unhappy, stupid, and dead.”
