Praise for a DME

Post by xenablue » Tue Mar 13, 2012 7:20 pm

I'm sure there are other great DMEs out there, but we seem to only hear about the horrid ones - and for those who have to deal with those morons, I feel badly. I had one of the bad ones to begin with, and with my neurologist's help and blessing, I switched.

Just one incident inspired me to post here, but I really could write much about my good experiences with this company.

On a previous visit, the girl who manages the store asked me how the SleepWeaver mask is going, and as I have a new mask due in April, would I like her to order me one so it's ready to pick up right when the date rolls around. Of course, I told her that would be great!

I have since found that SW released a brand new design last week that apparently addresses some leak issues that I was having, so on Saturday I called into CPAP2GO to pick up replacement nasal pillows and filters. I asked if they had ordered my SW yet, and she said yes, it was there at the store. I mentioned that the new version was just released a few days before, and without me even asking, she said no worries, she'd have head office order me the newer one and return the one they had, and it would be there by the time I returned next month.

I truly haven't had a bad visit with this company and I know a couple of other people who use it have similar experiences.

I definitely put them up there with our gracious hosts here as far as service goes!

Cheers,
xena

That's great to hear about -- if more DMEs were like this, there'd be many fewer complaint threads on here!

Always great to hear about good DMEs! They deserve more business, and it helps others to learn there are good DMEs out there so they don't have to put up with lousy ones.

It pays to keep an organized list of the names of the key people working at your DME, and treat those people with true friendliness and respect.

I agree with you all!

I always address each of them by name, and they do the same with me - having an Aussie accent in Wisconsin makes it easier for them to remember me

Cheers,
