Resmed Mirage Activa LT mask problem - help needed

Post by gatnus » Sun Mar 11, 2012 9:31 am

After trying a number of masks over the past 6 months, I've settled on the Mirage Activa LT as the ONLY one I can sleep comfortably with.

Every time I try to clean the mask, the plastic spine inside comes out. I can't seem to get it back in properly aligned - either the plastic clips won't clip in, or when I get them clipped in (usually forcing them) and put on the mask, it's leaking beyond use and I can poke a finger through the spot where the mask and spine don't meet.

Is there some sort of trick to get this put back together?

I'm on my last one now and it fell apart at 1AM last night (made the mistake of cleaning it yesterday morning) with replacements not being sent to me for another two weeks.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks

Check EBay for the replacement part. I don't use this mask so unfamiliar with what you are describing as a problem. Other members will chime in that do know what you are talking about.
But check EBay...you may not need an entire new mask set up.

Or check cpap.com mask replacement parts.

Not a replacement part. Basically the mask is two parts - the mask itself and a plastic spine that fits inside the mask and clips into the headpiece, holding the mask in place. Nothing is "broken", but the spine is out and needs to go back in, but whenever I put it in and re-clip in, the mask leaks. I believe the part normally does come out for cleaning - I just can't get it back together.

OK - The spine is called the cushion clip and is available at https://www.cpap.com/productpage/resmed ... -mask.html

Mask with the clip is at https://www.cpap.com/productpage/resmed ... -mask.html

There's nothing wrong with my cushion clip...except that I can't get it back into the mask without the mask leaking!
