OT- Ignorance taxes

The time is approaching when we face one of the unavoidables in life- TAXES!
Most do not like taxes, even those embedded ones that add to our higher costs of living.
Little can be done about these, but it is another story when we intentionally heap on ourselves what I call ignorance taxes.
These are those penalties we pay for being ignorant, or not knowing.

We will probably find many things here we do not agree with and perhaps it is a bit extreme.
I ask that others submit more examples of things we waste our money on.

Some of my favorites include:
Bottled water, organic foods, most of the alternative medical items, A high percent of chiropractor and naturopathic and all homeopathic remedies, Brand over generic drugs, and many others.
Many will of course, disagree and hold these to be sacred necessities and hold fast and increase these taxes on themselves.
It is helpful and necessary to differentiate between beliefs and knowledge.
I speak from experience as I look around my home and see many things I would impulsively buy and later realize how stupid this is.
