I must be living under a rock- this is the first I have heard of this. Thanks for bringing it to my attention Johnny.

The mainstream media has been avoiding reporting on it. Gee, I wonder why? Could it be because they are owned by the people lobbying for it?

Sounds like the bill is too ambiguous and will lead to some heavy unintended consequences if passed as written.
Thinking of quitting CPAP?

No problem, here's the first thing to do when you quit:

Advanced funeral planning. When you give up CPAP, you'll probably need it.

We should devid the country into little squares, then we could herd the population into them and run them down with our tanks, like in China. Jim

Yes, I'm worried. This country is heading downhill really fast.

I'm disgusted to see the current administration wiping it's feet on the constitution just as often as the previous administration did.

Personally, I think it is a great idea to make most all use of the internet a legal risk for everyone in order to "protect" a failing/failed distribution/profit model. Too many people and businesses are using the internet, and I think THE INTERNET MUST BE STOPPED!!!!

Sounds exactly like what they have in China.
Too much like unbridled censorship.

Yes and all the information the peasants are getting is really bad for them. They keep thinking they know the answers to problems instead of bowing down like they should. If the internet gets closed down then they can't get organized either.

Information wants to be illegal.

Interesting... I wonder what the effect will be on hosting companies hosting sites
that infringe upon copyright. Are we going to have to proactively scan all customer
sites for possible infringement? <sigh>

This effort to tame the wild west side of the Internet needs a lot of thought put into
it by folks who are knowledgeable... not legislators in Washington who are clueless.

I see an increase in off-shore hosting of companies. Just like there was an increase in of of shore hosting of certain websites due to the enactment of USC 2257. This law is being written by a bunch of old farts that do not understand the internet.

It's not just the past 2 administrations, but 2 corrupt parties in Congress. Both parties passed the Indefinite Detention Act which made the Patriot Act look like our bill of rights.
