Leaves me wondering why you removed the ResScan image.

Set the time on your pulse oximeter to the time on your xPAP machine. This way both will be related to the time of day and that makes a correlation easier.

Still not perfect, but better.

Crusher, but still you can't synchronize those desats to your sleep stages. So what good is there?

Avi, if you are able to print out several nights data a good doctor can make an educated guess about your sleep stages by looking that the trends between oxygen levels and heart rate. The more information you can provide, the better the guess.

Estimating sleep stages from your pulse oximeter data may help in reviewing your flow data.

Keep in mind that this is not exact, but can help when you are trying to figure out what is going on.

Best Oximeter

Post by Barks1 » Thu Sep 18, 2014 3:53 pm

Being a old post I would like to re-view the topic.

I'm thinking about adding a oximeter to my cpap stuff.

Can someone point me in the right direction on what unit would be best to monitor my oxygen levels.
It would be interesting to hear would people think.

Thanks in advance.

Peter.

Are you using sleepyhead?

If so you'll want to get one that works with the software

CMS makes a line of wallet friendly pulse oximeters.
Some points to consider,
It needs to record at least one full nights data.
I prefer a wrist mounted verses finger mounted unit. Less likely to fall off.
Rechargeable batteries is a must for me.
Sleepyhead compatibility is very nice.

When I got mine about a year ago I chose the CMS 50i. I am happy with it but the iw Bluetooth wireless feature would be nice.
Mine is not yet Sleepyhead compatible but I hope JediMark has it on his to do list.

it's done, fully and completely,

multiple session uploads direct from device check
setting time on the device check
changing the device id check (as of this morning)
importing the files from spo2 assistant (should you want to play it that way) check

you just have to get your hands on the 0.9.8 dev version if you're using linux, it's fairly easy to grab the source and compile your own.
