Yes, Lars. You SHOULD stay. You're just as entitled as anyone to discuss their sleep apnea.
Sleep Apnea, we all have in common. It's the "off topic" stuff that gets some of us in trouble, because it just opens up disagreements. feelings are bound to get hurt. You can't take that stuff too seriously, or for that matter "who's your internet chum", and who's not.

We've certainly disagreed, but I don't think you're a bad guy. Chill out, and stay awhile...

Since you asked, I'll give you an honest answer.

You should stay but........................please don't be the "forum police". Quit chastising posters about OT subjects, avatars, and language. Just ignore the posts you don't want to read.

Can't we all just get along?

Sometimes I just don't know
should I stay or should I go.
Need some kind of method to figure it,
scientifically.
There must be ways to research and
answers to be found, but I'm confused
by all the different Links,
don't you C.

It's come to me that
there is'nt much more to see,
can't seem to grasp my ignorance or
others intolerance.
I know it's he or she or them or it,
can't possibly be me.

Out in the cold, foreboding ethernet,
tucked within a very tiny nich,
hidden within every avatar,
there is compassion, forgivness, acceptance,
camaraderie,
for you.....for anyone......
but just one catch.......
what you give is equal to what you get.

So....should I stay or should I go?
This will depend on what it is,
you think you know.

IMO, you should stay. Just be prepared to take your lumps.

But remember, lumps ain't scientific methodology.

(Time to start publishing carbonman. Good one!)

Stay, Lars. Maybe toughen your hide up a little. But DEFINITELY, please, switch back to your big snozz, bushy 'stache avatar. You look so cute and cuddly in that one. We girls like it!

I agree, Slinky! I loved the avatar of the sexy guy with the big snoz.

I tried that once. It didn't take.

Are you sure about that?

Hey, why not. That way you'll have something to delete later.

Some of the "mean" ones around here are really just big teddy bears. When they try hard to sound all mean and stuff, just laugh at them. If they were kidding, they'll laugh with you. If they weren't kidding, your laughing will make them mad--so you win either way! Just don't be mean yourself. Unless you are one of the teddy bears, too, of course.

Lars,

I too think you should stay.

As to why you feel you've been blasted, I think beckah has hit the nail on the head when she said:
You should stay but........................please don't be the "forum police". Quit chastising posters about OT subjects, avatars, and language. Just ignore the posts you don't want to read.
Unlike many other self-help forums, this one is ---by design--- wide open and intentionally without strict guidelines as to what is or is not appropriate to post. For the most part, forum members tend to resent others telling them what is or is not appropriate to post. And the usual advice is to just ignore posts that strike you as off topic, silly, or offensive in some way.

And none of your posts have been offensive. But some of them have chastised other members about their OT posts, language, or avatar use, and in turn you've been chastised right back by those who think you're trying to play the role of "forum police."

I hope you stay because you can and do contribute to the important and meaningful conversation about living with OSA and xPAP thereapy. But as I think I've mentioned before, if you really prefer a much more tightly controlled and policed and moderated forum, there are such forums out there for OSA patients. A really decent one is http://www.apneasupport.org/index.php . And if you choose to leave cpaptalk.com, I sincerely hope to see you over there.

Yes it is. I'll tell you what is chick poison, though, Vader. I hate to break it to you, but someone has to. If you keep doing this, you may never find a girlfriend:

I think if you want to stay, stay. If you don't, well...

You did start off on the wrong foot with that avatar silliness.
Since you ask "Why so mean?" I'll ask you "Why all the drama?"
To my knowledge, no one has asked you to leave, and I really doubt anyone will. Your call.
Go back and read Beckah and Robysue again.
And if anyone rubs you the wrong way, the "Foe" feature works great.

There's a lot to be learned here, if you're open to it. Your xPAP experiences may help someone else. That's the fundamental reason any of us are here. That and friendship. And a shared xPAP experience. I hope that's why you are here.
