A question about resmed s9

Post by tea_t » Tue Apr 05, 2011 9:48 am

the machine stopped automatically after 1 ½ hour!! It seamed like a default procedure and I was not able to reset it for my needs.
Who knows how to set the machine?

you might try unplugging it and plugging it in again.
If it's new, you should call the DME right away.
I am sure you will get a lot of info here and it might help to say more about the settings, conditions etc. when it stopped.

I'd turn smartstart off. If the machine comes on by itself when you put your mask on and turns itself off when you remove the mask, then smartstart is on. The problem is that it's not all that smart. It could be that after an hour and a half of sleep, you roll over and dislodge the mask causing a large leak. Smartstart thinks you've taken the mask off and shuts the machine down.

The clinicians' manual has details on how to change all the settings of your S9.

You didn't make clear which S9 model.
Reasons for machine stop: any chance that the hose wasn't fully twisted into the box, and came loose with some tugging? or no juice at the wall?
Has anybody seen a Troubleshooting Guide from ResMed?
