What is the best way to clean the distilled water reservoir. I see a very very tiny bit of Nigrospora or some other fungus growing in one of the cracks and it is very hard to reach.

Every other week I fill mine up with a water/white vinegar solution and let it sit for 30 minutes. Believes it is a 3:1 ratio but I have that written down at home. Haven't had to replace mine yet but I will at the 6 month mark (probably). For whatever reason this is the only supply that did not get a statement of medical necessity so I will be paying for this one out of pocket. Not worried about that though.

Some DME's sell the germicidal disinfectant for the resorvior tub. Imo, i would waste not the money. White vinegar ( acidic acid) will do the trick. Its inexpensive and found at any grocery store. Try one pt white vinegar and three parts water. Let it soak for 20 minutes, then rinse out throughlly. Let it air dry. Once a week is preferred.

That's awesome! No matter how long mine air dried, there was always condensation in there due to the internal separate parts. It would be foggy in there and it was difficult to see the fill line indicator at times. Thanks for sharing!

They now have one that opens for cleaning. My therapist was kind enough to swap my one piece out for the newer one. It's three parts and is a cinch to clean.

There isn't enough bandwidth on the Internet to say the "thanks!" I owe you for posting this!

I've seen nasty aquariums cleaner than my tank...

Not anymore!

Believe it or not,
a water pic works wonders for cleaning along the edges where the two halves meet.
I usually use soapy water along with a couple cotton balls.
I swish the cotton balls around for a couple minutes then rinse with the water pic.
It actually works like a little power washer!
