Okay, I'll add my two cents to this purposeless survey. [snip]

I understand what you're saying, however there's something beautiful about the symmetry of the Poisson distribution* that is characteristic of so many things that we take for granted in our daily lives. When I look at the curve that the data plot forms, I'm reminded of the ending of John Steinbeck's Sweet Thursday. "Once more, the world was running in greased grooves."

Titrated at 11.5-12 based on my study done one year ago. I bought an apap in January and started out with it at 8-15. I'm currently set at 9-14 and it often stays between 9-10. I've lost about 15 pounds since then so that might have something to do with it. Who knows? AHI is consistently under 3 and that is good enough for me since I was in mid 60's during my study.

Straight cpap didn't work well for me at all. So now I am back to auto with pressure Max/Min 16/12.5 Auto 3. No ramp up, don't need it.

When this thread was new, I voted 14 cm; now I'm 10-11.

I haven't had my machine at home yet but at my 2nd sleep study my max pressure needed was a 7 during REM

ASV, so my pressure ranges from an exhalation pressure that ranges from 11 to 16 (EPAPmin of 11 and EPAPmax of 16) and adjusts as needed based on my obstructions. My inhalation pressure is at least 4 above my exhalation pressure (PSmin of 4). And to address centrals, the machine can ramp the pressure up to 25cm H2O .. a VERY stiff wind (Maximum Pressure of 25).

But I'm very happy to have this unit. It's been a life saver for me.

I'm doing my own titration study having switched my apap machine to cpap. So far as i drop the pressure my AHI scores continue to drop ( but not by much). Last night was a pressure of 12.5 (i think, could be 13) with an AHI of 2.3 ( day before was 2.5 - probably not a significant difference so i figure i'm getting close to the endpoint) and tonight will be 1/2 a unit lower. When i reach the lowest pressure which gives the best result, i'll give the resmed quattro mirage full face mask another try before shipping it back for insurance refund since i'm currently having to duct tape my mouth shut and wrap my head with a sticky ace bandage to keep my mouth shut - chin straps are worthless for me

RT set pressure at 8 per prescription. My AHI was still running 15-17. I bumped to 8.5 and AHI is coming down, now at about 8.2. I figure I'll give it a week and see if I need to take another bump.

I've never posted on this thread. When I first received my brick, I was titrated a pressure of 8cm. 1/09/2012 I received my auto and set it at 8.5 - 11. At present, I'm 9.5 - 14.5 cm.
