Beware door2doorshop.com

Post by cortez356 » Thu Oct 28, 2010 4:11 pm

For many years I have purchased various items on the net: Auto parts, parts for my Motorhome, items for the house, books, etc. Perhaps I have been lucky but have never had a problem that could not be easily solved. I had been on this forum seeking info on a wrist pulse oximeter. Most here like the CMS 50F. I had read where some had purchased from door2doorshop. There were other sellers showing a slightly lower price but these people promised fast service and the item was insured. This was not an ebay purchase. I tried to pay with a credit card but somehow the software knows you have a Paypal account and that is how it was purchased. I received a tracking # and in short time it was in San Francisco. It cleared customs but then the fun began. USPS said the address was NFG. I received an email stating that the item would be returned to sender if they could read the return address. Otherwise it goes to dead mail hell!! My address is a large auto salvage yard in Tucson and have never had a problem before. Probably the address label was damaged, missing or not written correctly. I contacted the seller and they told me to call the Post Office and make a claim. I explained that this is not possible but tried anyway. USPS says that the article was not lost and if a claim is made in this case it must be done by the shipper. I emailed the shipper. Again a one liner: Call USPS. They stopped answering emails. I am starting a claim with Paypal but this could prove useless. I am sure that many have had nor problem with this seller but the true test of any business is how they handle problems. I would STRONGLY suggest that if you are buying an oximeter look elsewhere. I became so pissed at what happens I called Turner Medical and they are sending me an SPO 7500. If I ever get the CMS unit I will offer it on the forum at a bargain price and donate the $$ to a charity!! CAVEAT EMPOR.

While this is true if you keep a positive balance in your paypal acct. it will use that first....just fwiw.

Sounds almost like another spyware problem.

I seen the same website you did and didn't like some of the spelling/grammatical errors. I realize many things we order online are ordered out of country, but most places at least can use correct spelling....I have dealt with online purchase problems on other sites and didn't feel the $10 difference mattered too much. I am not much of a gambler. Good luck with this. john

Wow, I'm sorry to hear that, and thank you for the warning. If you pay for PayPal by credit card, it may still be possible to revoke the purchase through your credit card company. Otherwise, you are probably at the mercy of the ebay/PayPal powers-that-be.

I hope it works out OK for you.

THanks: I have put in a dispute with paypal. I should hear from them later this week. The whole process could take months. I have every email that the seller sent me including the tracking #. I also have a print out from USPS showing that the parcel was undeliverable and was sent back to China. This could be fun!!

fwiw - I won a dispute with paypal but never collected a dime cuz he didn't have any money in his acct. Hopefully that wont happen to you.
